I am a former employee of this company who was essentially fired because I became to knowledgeable to the legality issues this company tip-toes around. First off, they list all of their employees as "independent- contractors", so as to avoid paying taxes on them. They give the employees scripts to speak from that are laced with lies that at first glance one would not realize. Furthermore, they pay them only on commission which encourages their employees to say what ever is necessary to sell their products even if it is not true.

totally agree! worked with them this spring. it got too expensive with traveling and having to buy produce for one of our products and being put in crappy, dead stores. very very happy to be back waiting tables

No, I'm a fairly new jesco agent and what you do not realize is it's based on your individual market/ director. Even in a store with 5 people, you have the potential to make $100 a show x 7 a day=$700. Not likely, but very possible. All sales, including resturants, are laced with exaggerations and optimism to create comfort in the buyer. There would be no sales otherwise. The products I've dealt with are fairly priced and good quality useful items. This job is not for everyone, and maybe it's not for you, but I for one will never wait tables again.

LOL! This posting is hysterical. First of all, all information about commission and being an independent contractor is given up-front, before anyone is even hired! Secondly, this is nothing more than a bitter former US Jesco agent spouting off nonsense. This is a very potentially high paying job for the right person. Unfortunately, it's not right for everyone. Doing sales and public speaking is certainly not in everyone's comfort level, and because you work on commission, you get paid for how hard you work, and for how good you are. Slow stores aren't always impossible to make money in if you have talent. Maybe you were fired because you suck?
