I first learned of this company through a web site about the obama hamp program called making home affordable back in dec. 2010. I had called a company called homesafe america. At the time I had just started a new job and was not yet ready financially to hire someone to help me modify my mortgage. After a couple months I had gotten a little bit better financially to hire them. So I called and reached the man I had spoke with in dec and he told me about the law change in Jan that wouldn't allow modificatins unless it was done through a law firm. He said that's why the name had changed to United Solutions Law firm. I asked several questions trying to find out all that I could before I sent them any money. They called and called me before we agreed to sign on with them. The day after my husband and I sent in all the paper work I recieved a call about my payment. The man on the phone said something was wrong with my ach and asked if I could wire them the money. I thought this was strange but he gave me all the information I needed and said deduct the fee that would be ok. So I wired them $2480. I called them back after I spoke with my bank and let them know everything was in order. This was in March 2011. This June 2011, all the numbers I have are not in services or I just get a voice answering system that prompts me to leave a message. I was assigned a case manager who I can only email or leave a message with. I don't here from her when I email her for days. I call and leave messages and she has returned 1 call in three months. I keep in contact with my bank but that doesn't help me since I am almost 19000.00 behind. I was told not to make payments because the bank wouldn't accept them. I am so frustrated I have wasted good money that I could have put on my house to help me stay in it. I can't contact anyone and complain. I am starting hear so if anyone has any information to put forth please do. |

Hello,
I am writing as a pro bono attorney working with the Prevent Loan Scams Project of the Lawyers' Committee, a not-for-profit organization based in New York. My colleagues and I, of the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, are working with Lawyers' Committee to investigate entities and individuals that are possibly involved in loan modification scam operations. We are trying to help people who have been scammed, and are working free of charge, on a pro bono basis.
We have seen several complaints on the internet concerning United Solutions Law Firm. If you have a complaint about this company, we would be interested in speaking with you to learn more about your experience and investigate the company further.
There is no charge for anything we do for or with you. We are simply trying to help. You can learn more about the Prevent Loan Scams project at www.preventloanscams.org.
Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or (212) 450-6593. We look forward to hearing from you. |
