After 2 years playing on this site. I got angry and complained. TYson Lowery just ignored the complaints and banned me from the forums and the site. I had over 250 invested in teams on the site which were not reimbursed to me. I emailed this IDIOT many times without one response. I went to the better business bureau and they could not get a response. This site should be shut down... How can he take peoples money and not reimburse.. I will file a lawsuit against this PR*K!

I believe this was filed by a user named Sam Adams, but the name doesn't match what was posted here. If I have this wrong, please let me know. I'm going to attempt to rehash this story as faithfully as I can here. I think anyone in my shoes would have taken the same course of action.
This individual has a take my ball and go home mentality. If something doesn't go his way, he will overreact and turn a mole hill into a mountain. I'm sure you all know the type, this is the guy you see at the airline ticket counter ranting and raving over some minor issue so he can get a free upgrade.
This individual has a history of personally attacking other customers in his leagues and was warned several times about violating this policy before we ultimately banned him from the game and the site all-together at the request of our other customers.
Our site is an online baseball simulation game. 16 people are placed into a league and compete against one another. In these leagues, you can make trades with one another. Sometimes people get fleeced in these trades and the league thinks it is too imbalanced to allow it to stand. The league will vote on such trades. This individual was involved in a trade that was overturned by the league, which is not an uncommon occurance. At this point, this individual went beserk. He began personally attacking everyone in his league. He then traded or waived all the talented players on his team, making a complete mess of the league. He was removed from the league. He actually did this in several leagues and we spent several days cleaning up these teams to put the leagues back into a competitive state. At the end of all this, he told a sob story about how his brother had gained access to his accounts and it wasn't him. A few of the leagues bought this story and let him back in. It turns out, the excuse wasn't valid as the next incident proves.
About 4 months later, the same individual had a trade he was involved with overturned. He reacted the same way, personally attacking anyone he could communicate with and then waiving and trading all the players on his teams again. At this point we simply asked him to leave the site and made an effort to refund him what was reasonable. You have to understand, at the moment a team is purchased it immediately loses value. It is like buying a new car, once you take it off the lot it loses value. We parted ways. On his way out of the site, he posted nearly 100 messages on our site littered with accusations, swearing, and other inappropriate content. He was then banned from posting again.
Finally, we get to the incident at hand when this complaint was filed here on this site. How can there be another incident you ask? Well this individual proceeded to create another account on our site and purchase teams using that account. We found out about this after yet another incident. After reasearching the accounts, I came to realize that this was the same user we had all these problems with in the past. I immediately removed him from the leagues, but not before he went on a tirade posting 100s of messages on our site, littered with personal attacks and swearing. I told him he would not be eligible for any kind of refund because he was asked to leave the site, asked not to spend any more money on our site, and found a way to get around that and sent us money anyhow. I figured if I gave him a refund, he would just do this all over again so he was not given a refund. |
