I truly wish I had read the comments on this site before I placed my "free" trial order of Acai and Colon Cleanse. Like others I have read about now, I too placed an online order since the only cost was going to be the shipment of $7.19 for each of the two products. For that price, I figured it was worth a try. After I placed the order (which appears on their site to be endorsed by big TV stations, etc), I started reading some of these reports and got nervous. Thought I'd wait till the shipping charges appeared onmy credit card and then I would cancel the card. However, when I checked my statement, I had been billed the two shipping charges PLUS two charges of $101.98 Canadian !!
I immediately called the Customer Service number on the emailed invoice I received (for $7.19)after placing the order. Unlike others have reported, I did get an answer and spoke to some woman (who sounded like she was talking from her kitchen table). She told me the charges were for the first month's shipment (not sure why that when I was getting 60 day trial) of each product. She asked if I read the "Terms" for the purchase because it clearly states that this was a 3 (Three) Day trial evaluation and if I didn't cancel before those 3 days were up, I was automatically charged for the next shipment!!! I asked how I was supposed to have a 3 day evaluation when I hadn't even received the product - she didn't have an answer for that. I told her I didn't want the product now and would return it but she said they couldn't accept returns for "safety" reasons once the product had left their warehouse. She said she would cancel any further shipments but basically I was responsible for the $203.96 that I had been charged. I asked for a confirmation email about the cancellation but she said they weren't "set up" to do that and gave me a confirmation number over the phone.
I then contacted my credit card company (Visa) and they were very good to try helping me. They said the charges originated from a company in Cypress!!! They noted my complaint but said they couldn't really investigate it until 15 days have passed which will be January 31. I will be back on the phone with them at that time. IF the product arrives in the meantime, I will not open it and plan to ship it back.
I must note that if I try to go back to the same website that I orginally ordered this product from, it gives me another name on the product but the method of ordering seems to be the same. The site has a lady endorsing the product fully and, at the time, it appeared so legitimate to me. Check it out at: PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AND DO NOT PLACE ANY ORDERS ON THESE WEBSITES!!!! I can't believe I got caught up in this as I am normally more cautious. It's amazing how legitimate they can make these scams appear. From now on, I'll stick to ebay or the large reputable stores I'm familiar with.
