TREND MICRO JUST RIPPED ME OFF AND I WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF THE SCAM.


I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS. LAST MAY WHEN I GOT A NOTICE OF A DEAL TO CONTINUE WITH A NEW AGREEMENT, I HAD PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE. I NEEDED THEIR TECH TO HELP ME WITH THE DOWNLOAD. THIS TOOK MORE THAN 3 HOURS TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS AND I HAVE RECEIVED NOTICE THAT I HAVE USED THE SOFTWARE ON MORE THAN ONE COMPUTER. MY FIRST PACKAGE ALLOWED ME 3 COMPUTERS.


I WAS BUYING THE SAME PACKAGE I HAD WITH THEIR "SPECIAL DEAL" OF 39.00. I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO LEARN THAT THEY HAD GIVEN ME A ONE USER SOFTWARE INSTEAD OF THE ONE I HAD PREVIOUSLY. NOW THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE DISCONTINUING MY PROTECTION UNLESS I BUY A NEW 2011 PACKAGE AT 45.00 - BUT THEY HAD A SPECIAL DEAL AGAIN. I STILL HAVE SIX MONTH ON MY PACKAGE AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND THE DIFFERENCE OR APPLY IT TO THE NEW PACKAGE.


I WAS TOLD I HAD TO BUY A NEW PACKAGE INSTEAD. I HAD MY PREVIOUS SERIAL NUMBERS AND MY EMAIL CONFIRMATIONS WHICH PROVED WHAT I TOLD THEM TO BE TRUE. THEY AGREED TO THIS. HOWEVER, THEY SAID THEY WERE SORRY THERE WAS AN ERROR, BUT THAT I HAD TO BUY A NEW PRODUCT TO HAVE THE SAME PROTECTION I HAD TO START.


AFTER SPEAKING TO THE SUPERVISOR ( WHICH WAS DIFFICULT TO GET BECAUSE THE SERVICE REP REFUSED TWICE) I FINALLY REALIZED THAT SHE WAS ALSO TELLING ME THE SAME THING... SCREW YOU... YOU HAVE NO OPTIONS. WELL I DO HAVE OPTIONS. I CAN NOT CHOOSE YOUR SERVICE, I CAN TELL OTHERS ABOUT THE scam SERVICE YOU PROVIDE AN THE FRAUDULENT BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICES YOU USE. I SPOKE TO THE SUPERVISOR FOR MORE THAN 45 MINUTES AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD PASS MY COMPLAINT ON TO THE EXECUTIVES OF THE COMPANY WHO WERE MEETING TO DISCUSS CONSUMER COMPLAINT ISSUES LIKE THIS. SHE WOULD BE SURE TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I WAS DISSATISFIED. BUT SHE HAD NO OTHER OPTIONS FOR ME.


I PURCHASED THE PRODUCT AGAIN, IT TOOK 4 HOURS OUT OF MY DAY TO DO THIS AND I WENT TO THE COMPUTER TO LET ALL MY FRIENDS AT scam REPORT KNOW ABOUT THE SITUATION. BE CAREFUL ABOUT THIS SCAM FROM TREND MICRO. BE CAUTIOUS THAT THEY ARE REALLY GIVING YOU A 30 PERCENT DEAL AND THE RIGHT PRODUCT. I PLAY BY THE RULES, I BUY THEIR SOFTWARE, I ONLY USED ON TWO COMPUTERS NOT THREE AS I HAD LISCENCE TO DO.


I AM REALLY ANGRY AT TREND MICRO AND I AM PLANNING TO GO TO ALL MY ONLINE FORUM GROUPS TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS scam COMPANY.
