I purchased a Traxxas 4 Tec 3.3 4807 this car had malfunctions out of the box. 1s t the car had no breaks 2nd the screws fell out of the chassis during break in. I took the car back to the hobby shop they installed a new break assembly which was a manufactured defect, which I had to pay for the repairs.3rd It would not change gears 4rd it would not run straight it had Alignment issues. The camber, toe and the trim pots were adjusted still the car would not hold a straight line. I sent the car back to traxxas and paid another $48.68 for shipping. Traxxas had the car for about 2 or 3 weeks .I received the car and the second day the clutch bell shoes and springs broke and the car still had alignment issues. I called traxxas they sent out new shoes and a spring. As I was installing the clutch bell shoes and spring, I found out my 4807 had a 4809 gear set up. Now traxxas wants me to spend another $48.68 to ship the car back to them for repairs which the car was already in for. Traxxas Has No QA Quality Assurance Process in place they sell a know defective product that clearly states ready to race and ready to run on the website and on the box. But when you have a problem with the product they tell you, you have to work on the product. They also stated the product was made in Taiwan, so they are just put together and shipped out. My neighbor just purchased a 4 Tec 3.3 4807 and it has the same exact issues. I have been reading several complaints about traxxas products. THIS COMPANY SELLS MERCHAINDISE WITH KNOWN MANUFACTURING DEFECTS TO THE CONSUMERS. I have several more statements about this company. They will not replace the defective item because the replacement will have the exact same issues and they will not refund you because they have a bad product. The way they get around the warranty is they say you drove the car. If you do not drive the car you are unable to detect any issues that’s even with the break in process.
