11th of Jul, 2011 by User299197 |
based on transmission parts distribution inc rating an e-bay i order a transmission for my son's 96 s-10 blazer. was informed that it would take 15 days to get the unit. Finally received the transmission after 30 plus days and several calls to keep things moving. we installed the transmission. I am an old street rod builder and know what needs to be done having installed many engines and transmissions over the years. Started having shifting problem after about three weeks but we worked through them. then transmission died after about four months. I called jeff madison and informed him of the problem. jeff said they would ship out another transmission by the next tuesday. after three weeks and almost daily calls we have not received anything. when i call i get jeff's answering machine and he never returns my calls. it looks like this guy is not operation in good faith or is getting ready to close shop. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM!! |

Transmission Parts Distribution Inc
will not warranty My Allegation: Misrepresentation, Internet Fraud/Cyber Fraud!

Jeff... and every one else it concerns:
I've followed your warranty procedures
Any help you may be able to offer will be appreciated.
On April 20, 2009 I purchased two transmissions from Transmission parts distribution Inc. / Jeff Madison located at 2510 Evon RD, Saginaw MI 48601. These two transmissions were shipped to my residence here in Whitmore Lake with no receipt of purchase, please see attached credit card statement for proof of purchase.
Two transmissions: 1. 4L60 purchased price 699.00 2. A604 purchased price 551.00 TOTAL CHARGE 1, 250.00 on 4/20/2009
May 27, 2009 the 4L60 was installed by a reputable licensed repair faculty. The faculty mechanic called me after the install and said the trans is bad and that it would not back out of the shop for a test drive, it had no reverse. I contacted Jeff Madison right away for a replacement that took three months to get. In the mean time I had to have the vehicle towed back home!
August 27, 2009 the warranted replacement was installed by the same above mentioned faculty, did I mention that this install shop has a unblemished BBB rating an BBB A+++ shop. The shop again called me with bad news that the warranted replacement was also defective it would not shift from 3rd to 4th had no third fourth gears/clutches, and 1st second was slipping. . I contacted Jeff Madison right away for a replacement.
I have now paid the shop for two installs and at that time had Transmission Parts Distribution’s trans removed from my vehicle for the last time. So I could personally return the transmission to Jeff Madison I could not afford six months without my work truck.
Within 2 weeks, on September 2, 2009 myself and a friend, to serve as witness, drove to Saginaw to return the transmission. During my visit I was able to personally meet with Mr. Madison to ask for a refund and at that time Mr. Madison refused the refund and wanted me to pay for towing of the vehicle 98 miles from my home in Whitmore Lake to Saginaw which is 98 miles. My friend and I left that day without a refund and without a replacement transmission.
I sent a second letter appealing to Jeff on a personal level for a refund on February 1, 2010 and have not heard from this company for 37 months now.
My Allegation: Misrepresentation, Internet Fraud/Cyber Fraud!
It is not just me just research this company and you will find pattern of fraudulent activities. Transmission Parts Distribution Inc. claims that: “Each transmission is custom built by one of our quality certified rebuilders and tested for proper shifting before it leaves our warehouse”
Again your time is appreciated and any help in a refund will greatly appreciated. I have tied up $3, 277.14, a summary of expensed can be provided. |
