TOYOTA OF ORLANDO ABS & BRAKE LIGHT orlando, Florida |
2nd of Oct, 2011 by User536479 |
On 9/26/2011 my abs and brake light came on in my 2007 Toyota which cause the ac not to work, speedometer and odometer not to work, I took the vehicle into the Toyota dealership located on 3800 w colonial drive Orlando fl 32808 where the service advisor was Dave Schumacher after 30mins of looking at the vehicle Dave Schumacher came and told me that the mechanic said my car was struck my lightening and the computer went out on my car and he wants to see if they are any other damages, so I will have to pay $494.91 for another test, I did agree to this 3 hours later Dave Schumacher came and told me that it was the computer and that it will cost $1,948.98 to fix. I ask why was I being charge $494.91 for something he already told was wrong when they did the first test when the price was $129.00 he said because the mechanic wanted to see if their was real damage from the lightening, I advise that he just told me the car not hit by lightening but in fact the abs was not communicating with the computer of the car. I still paid the $494.91 but was not satisfied but I WAS MUNIPULATED TO THINK MY CAR WAS HIT BY LIGHTENING to get more tests done then told it was not lightening. I was given a part # 44050-06070 priced at $1600.00 I was advised to call Toyota and ask for assistance in paying for the part or help with the part. I called Toyota at 1-800-468-6968 spoke to carol on 10/3/2011who transferred me to Eric who took my issue down and gave me a case# of 1110030045 he said because of the mileage of the car 92k they can not help me and because I bought my car in 3x in 4yrs (2/2011, 7/2010, 5/2010) so they can not help me. I advise him that I bought the car in 11/2006 and bought the car more then 3x’s Eric said that the answer still remains NO, and they can’t help me. I ask for a supervisor he said he will have one contact me within 1 business day. I called back Toyota dealership located on 3800 w colonial drive Orlando fl 32808 # 407-298-4500 and spoke to Bryan the service manger on that day who told me the car was in fact their more then 3x’s(11/2007,3/2007,10/2007,2/2008,5/2010,7/2010,2/2011&10/1/2011) , now it seems like Toyota data is not being documented accurately which worries me more because what else is not being done accurately. I had to call back Toyota at 1-800-468-6968 and spoke to Henry who told me he will document the dates and have supervisor call me back. |
