Toure Edward Williams Carpe Diem Investment Group Toure Williams conned me out of $3900 Tracy, California |
25th of Dec, 2011 by User570428 |
Toure Edward Williams conned me into investing and loaning him $3900. The breakdown is as follows: 1/14/2011 - $500: Investment for Kobe Bryant after party for footprint at Mann's Chinese Theater. $1000 of interest to be paid as agreed. I later learned that Toure was not in charge of this event and had no affiliation with it. 1/21/2011 - $1900: Radio promotion/tour. He was supposed to get radio airplay for the song of an artist I was managing as well as secure him paid performances as openers for major artists touring. I had later learned that he had no significant ties to any radio promotion or musical tours and as such he was not using my money for this. 3/15/2011 - $1500: Loan for his mother. I doubt this money was for her. He was supposed to pay this back the following Monday and never did. That is when I started questioning him. I had not questioned the January loans initially because of our friendship and I trusted that he would honor the oral contracts we entered into. He never did deliver receipts or written contracts as promised afterwords. I later learned that everything I had been told was a lie to con me into giving him money. I was also informed that I am not the first person he did this too and he makes some of his money off of conning and defrauding innocent people into giving him money. Toure goes around presenting himself as a wealthy businessman who has mansions in Brentwood, Bel Air, northern California and a Tribeca loft in NYC. He also says that he flies private on a G3 jet he owns. He also claims to own a 2003 Maybach 62S, 2011 Range Rover and 2010 Mercedes S550. This is all a lie to defraud you out of money. He usually lives either in hotels or with friends. Neither I nor any of his close friends have ever seen any of his cars nor been to any of his houses. |

I was also conned out of money from this guy and his friends (approximately $3, 000). He poses as some sort of businessman who invested in ethynal refineries in Brazil and has made it big.
Here are a few signs that I should have noticed from the beginning:
1) Despite saying that he is a billionaire, he never once stepped up to pay for anything.
2) In the year that we were doing business, he changed his email address (which were from gmail or mac) twice.
3) He uses a lot of LLC's and Corporations to make himself sound legitimate.
This guy is a total fraud. I hope he gets caught and gets what's coming to him. |

what we need to do to help others avoid being scammed by this low-life is to post it simply as "Toure Williams", and not as "Toure Edward Williams". The first thing anyone with half a brain would do if Toure called with one of his enticing deals or offers would be to google this supposed billionaire to find out more about him. I tried googling "Toure Wlilliams" a year ago and nothing came up. It was not until a full year later that I found this website and another one at ripoffreport. |

I know where he can be found and all of us need to file a complaint with the Attorney General to put a stop to his malicious activities to rip people off. I have only been able to speak to one other person whom he scammed and he must be stopped!!! We can communicate on his twitter account that was set up to find him www.twitter.com/tourewilliams1 |
