Tom Eure and Good Ol Days Garage, Ingram, Texas. Summary= Terrible Customer Service; alleged taking of car parts; increasing quoted repair costs; refusal to provide timely invoices; not listening to customer requests.
Tom Eure was caught in an alleged fabrication regarding the return of an auto part to a supplier. He worked on my classic car. We then had a disagreement over what parts to place in my classic car. He then demanded I immediately pick up the car or he would leave it outside his shop unsecured. Prior to this he held the car for 8 months and did no work.
In the presence of two Ingram City Marshall's, Tom Eure (when questioned about an engine starter) advised that he returned the part to a supplier. I previously called the supplier who advised me they never received any starter for a core charge since they had no core charge return program. When I advised this to Tom Eure (now an Alderman for a part of Ingram City), he and his sonconfessed that they had the part in theback of the shop. They made these negative statements in the presence of two Ingram City Marshalls on March 1, 2010.
I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Austin and San Antonio, Texas. As many of you are aware, the BBB is worthless (in my opinion) and are currently under investigation by the Connecticut Attorney General for their grading system of businesses. In other words, they highly rate business' who join and pay their large fee.
Tom or Tommy Eure or Alderman Eure or Volunteer Fireman Eure responded to the BBB and equated customers to skunks and offered no assistance.
Tom Eure was also reported to the Texas Attorney General's office. Allegedly he had problems with customers when he lived in San Antonio, Texas.
Regarding the engine starter, keep in mind that Tom Eure and his business entitled Good Ol Days Garage also have advertised for an Auto Swap Meet out of his place of business. Do customers of his shop release their parts to Tom Eure or does Tom Eure also tell them the parts were returned to a fictitious supplier of auto parts.
