Together Dating Service
Together Dating Service elove, matchmakers, 613 NW Loop Suite 195, San Antonio, Texas 78216 Promised personal matchmaker and professional referrals.
27th of Nov, 2010 by User217281
On August 6, 2010 after meeting with a representative of Together Dating Service I signed a contract for 36 referrals at the sum of 500 times the cost of joining the other 3 most advertised online dating sites.

I was promised only professional referrals who were seeking a committed relationship, and were college degreed and employed for 10 years or more at the same company, or self employed for the same time period. Also promised that each referral owned their own home, was at least 6 ft tall, and enjoyed the same leisure activities as myself. Each referral was also guaranteed to have passed a criminal background check, and credit report score of 650 or higher.

I never met with anyone in person again, after my payment was processed. After 5 days I was told to call or e-mail to get my referrals. After 5 referrals, NONE of which met the above criteria, I have requested a FULL REFUND!

I have been single for 9 years, and been a fully paid member of 3 other dating sites. Theses sites charged 1/500th the price, and I met some very nice people. This dating service promised much, and delivered less than nothing!

I have had a horrible experience with Elove also. I live in San Antonio and was completely lied to by the sales person I met with and who explained the service to me. I was told that all of my matches would be made through the San Antonio office. I was told that I would be matched with men who were professionals and that were also looking for the same thing I was looking for, a long-term committed relationship.

I soon found out that this was all lies. I paid $2000 for nothing but lies. I started receiving letters of matches that are made through their office in Nebraska. (after I was told by the salesperson that they would be made out of local San Antonio office). I told the lady in Nebraska that I would like to go back into the San Antonio office and talk with the people there that had flat out lied to me. She told me I could not do this, and that all communication needs to go through Nebraska.

The first referral I received was for a man who had already opted out of this service because of the same concerns I have. The company lied to him and mislead him. He was not even enrolled in the service anymore. In addition, this man was listed as being single, and he was actually separated from his wife.

The second referral did not lead to a match.

The third referral was a man who said that he did not know what Elove was, but he had signed up with another company and was never notified that the service had changed names. His status stated he was single and never married, however was actually married and is now divorced.

The fourth referral was to a gentleman who was currently in a relationship. He also had never heard of Elove and the service never told him the agency changed names.

This is a huge misrepresentation of services by an agency that charges a large sum of money that made a guarantee that they could find a match for me. I do not make much money, but put up $2000 to find a long term relationship.

Elove is not about making matches between men and women, it is about them making money. I will tell everyone I know about this service being a complete sham.

I signed up for Elove May 26, 2011. I have received 1 match ! They are impossible to get a hold of over the phone. No one will ever return your email either ! The most DISGUSTING part... when I went into the office I knew the owner ! I used to teach at her child's preschool. I never knew her personally but she remembered me. I thought I was in good hands. I requested a specific religious preferance and I was told there were " a few" of my same faith. I do not believe this is true. So don't get burnt like I did. If these theives will scam someone they know, they do not care and they will scam anyone. I am so upset. I wish I would have known who they were. When I filled out the online survey, someone called and set up an office interview for me. They NEVER mentioned the name of their business. My obvious first mistake. I went in, gave my debit card like a sucker. I felt ok and I was excited but something told me to do some online investigating. Had I read these reviews from ALL OVER the US, not just my from my city, I would have never gone in the office. She had the nerve ot tell me more than once they have over 1, 300 people in the database so there would be plenty of men and I should have no trouble finding someone. I am a single mom with a special needs child. I just want to cry over this. Like everyone else posting, I am sad to say I learned a very expensive lesson.
