The Nerds.net Charge before shipping, failure to provide any shipping info, failure to ship North Miami Beach, Florida |

I found The Nerds.net via a buying referral service. The Nerds claimed to have the product I wanted and at the best price on the internet. They had a 5-star rating on the referral service so I trusted that they were legit. I should have checked further because (apparently) I'm not the only one to experience the problems I'm reporting here. #1: I ordered my product on a Friday. By Monday of the following week, I had not received any shipping instructions so I called their 888# and was told they were "swamped" with orders and they would have shipping info within 24 hours. What I did not know at the time was they had already charged my credit card for the full amount (>$300) even though they (a) did not have possession of the product in their warehouse and (b) could not confirm possession or shipment from their supplier. #2: On Thursday, I called again and, this time, the excuse was their supplier could not ship directly to my state so they were going to have to route the shipment via some other 3rd party. They would not have the details until next week and would send me shipping instructions then. #3: On Tuesday of the following week, I called and they still could not give me shipping instructions. I cancelled the order. #4: On ALL occasions, I asked the person I spoke with (it was always the same person) to send me an email confirming (a) the status of my order and/or (b) confirmation of my cancellation. Even though he faithfully promised to "stay on top of my order" and to send me an email, nothing ever happened. I have since found numerous complaints about The Nerds where my experience is clearly not unique. The Nerds have a reputation for charging accounts before they can deliver product and using the clients money without providing any value. Then, they appear to regularly be unable to deliver product. If my case is truly not unique, these guys are not only unprofessional, they are frauds as well. BEWARE!!!! |
