Texas Motors Ford
Texas Motors Ford TXMF removed upgraded accessories after I purchased a new car in full with cash Fort Worth, Texas
30th of Apr, 2011 by User534429
My complaint stems from 2003 when I purchased in full, with cash, a 2003 Ford Mustang. This has bothered me for years with no way of knowing where to voice my dissatisfaction until I found this website by accident researching a plastic surgeon. I was 17 leaving for college in a week and needed a new car. My father and I stopped at Texas Motors Ford and found a sonic blue mustang that I loved. In particular, the chrome/silver lining plastic pieces around the dash, matching "racer looking" pedals and upgraded head rests. My car had an additional "pony package"- not sure if that's why this car had these upgrades or not. But we payed a lot extra for the "pony package". After completing the paper work and such I was informed I would be given a loaner car so they could keep my car to detail it, but it wouldn't be today because the guys responsible for that had left for the day. That was my first clue-why would they be done for the day at 2pm if you're open till the evening?? Before we left I asked my salesman if we could go look at mine one last time, he awkwardly obliged. When we pulled up I wanted to take pictures and he repeatedly rushed me, was acting strange and just wanted me to stop(I now know why). They ended up keeping my car for five days...to vacuum. My sales guy every time I would call to check the status would tell me it's taking longer because they took it to a different location. Where I don't know. The day came to finally pick it up and my face dropped when I got in to find all black interior with no chrome/silver accents. I asked my salesman about it and he beat around the bush avoiding my questions and I never got an answer. Instead they made me feel like I was crazy. I mentioned it to my parents which my dad recalled the accessories as well and later to my service guy at TXMF which responded just as my salesman had. I felt I had to drop it because I could prove nothing. I vowed to learn a lesson for the next car purchase and tell everyone I knew to not go there. Until about 2 years ago when I found that disposable camera!!! I have about 10 different pictures of the interior the day I bought it and left it and sure enough they removed all interior upgrades that I purchased! I HAVE PICTURES OF WHAT MY CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD TO ME AS! This explains why the vacuuming took soooo long, why they sent it elsewhere, and all the employees odd behavior. They ripped of a customer that just paid over $20,000 in cash, I feel I was also an easy target because paying in full they wouldn't have to deal with me again. I haven't pursued legal action because I just don't care anymore. What goes around comes around-and it did- my salesman was shortly after diagnosed with leukemia. My point- do not purchase anything from these character-less people! Some businesses just have no ethics.
