03/27/2013 Re: Account opened on 3/18/12 with Techzilla Since opening this account I have yet to resolve the first
security problem I encountered with my 3 week old HP PC. On Monday 3/25/13 I called 4 times to resolve
this issue. I was hung up on three times
after a 20 minute wait each time to even speak to a technician. The 4th time the tech reached the
end of his expertise and promised me that a tech, who would be a level above
him, would call me back that day. A
brief synopsis of the tech calls was sent to me after each tech encounter and
on the last one I informed them that if someone didn’t call me back to fix this
security problem I was going to cancel the contract. No phone call was forthcoming nor have I had
any contact with this company until this morning when I called in to cancel the
whole contract. I don’t mind paying for
service received but to date I have not received any. Additionally, on 3/18/13, I was told the whole contract was
249.00 for one year but I would receive a 50.00 senior citizen discount and
also a free external 1 TB hard drive for free.
These things proved to be an outright lie. I noticed the documentation included with the
hard drive and it required a rebate form after 90 days of service. I checked the credit card transactions and
saw charges for 249.00 and 264.97 for Techzilla. I called this company on Saturday and
disputed these charges as nothing appeared to be correct, nor what I had agreed
to. So, in a nutshell, I have been
duped. This morning I called my credit
card company and informed them of this scam then called Techzilla and cancelled
service with them. I refuse to pay for
services NOT rendered & will go to the PO today to return their external
hard drive in an unopened state. The
outer sending box was the only one opened.
While at Costco yesterday I noticed the same hard drive was $67.00. This company claims theirs to be worth
150.00. Yet another example of their
blatant dishonesty to me. They simply
are not to be trusted and I will not do business with such a company.
