I purchased an over-priced book ($40 + $15 for FedEx shipping/handling) from a "college student" on Sept 12, 2011 (door to door sales). She was African-American and said her name was "Tia Porter" and that she lived in my neighborhood. She seemed nervous and rather chatty. That should have tipped me off. I realized I had been scammed when I searched online for Team Xtreme Sales LLC and found multiple complaints against the company. The receipt showed no telephone number or an email address. In addition, the website address -- www.teamxtremesales.com -- is only a web server's default page. Two hours later, another "college student" (named Sabrina and working for the same company) rang my doorbell! I tried to get answers from her, but she pretended to know nothing and acted like she was a victim, too, because she was concerned about getting paid. She supposedly lived in my neighborhood, too. I really wish I had photographed her with my cell phone, because I could have submitted that photo to the police and the local news station to get help identifying the girl. This would have led to the ring leader. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Arizona. I also submitted a detailed report to the FTC and my city's police department. Hopefully, this will lead to something, but I doubt it. The receipt states a cancellation request must be received by them by midnight of the third day after purchase. That's a ridiculous ! Well, I sent a cancellation letter via Certified mail with a Return Receipt. Waiting to see what happens.
