I went to Maryvale Hospital on February 7th, 2012 to get three stitches in a finger after accidentally cutting myself while prepping food at home, and have had nothing but issues with Team Health (the company that handles the physicians and billing for them) as far as billing goes.
I received a bill for just under $1000, which in my opinion, is absolutely ridiculous for something so minor. I called them to get set up on a payment plan of $32.87 a month for 30 months. Everything there was fine, although it took some arguing to get them to put me on the plan at first.
I paid the monthly payments before the due date for two months, then every month my statement says I am past due. I called them about it, and they said it was a glitch in the system and they put me back on my payment plan, but changed my due date to be a few days earlier.
I continued making payments before the new due date, and ever since then, every one to two months, their computer randomly removes me from the plan, citing a late payment as the reason, depite all of my payments being made on time. This has happened about 6-7 times since I got my first bill, and this last time, I discovered that they had put me in collections because their computers delayed my payments until after the due date. I have comfirmation numbers to prove my on-time payments, so Icalled them again and they come up with nothing but excuses, and tell me I have to make my payments way before the due date.
They openly admit to removing people from payment plans at random, and do not mention anywhere that I have to pay several days befire the due date. I threatened to turn them in if they do this one more time, as I don't want it to end up on my credit as a negative item when I have never made a late payment.
Stay away from these lying, scamming idiots at all costs if you can't afford to pay triple what you should, and all in one payment, becauae they will not hesitate to try to ruin your credit for paying on-time if you get on any sort of payment plan! |
