Target National Bank Target Credit Card Services Insulting, Lies and Rude Behavior by a Poorly Run Bank Minneapolis, Minnesota |
2nd of Jun, 2011 by User749378 |
2007 my late wife opened a Red Card with Target with a limit of $1000 and no credit privileges. 2008 after my wife passed, Target granted me a Credit Card and increased my limit to $2000 - Any Balance was always paid off in full and ahead of time. Meanwhile my own credit score increased from the mid 600s to over 800, but in June of 2010 I made two mistakes, I took a cash advance to make a donation to a charitable organization and then paid this Bank back twice... (I had received duplicate invoices) the next month July 2010 the Bank used a 3 day late minimum payment of $15 to state this was done by their computer and red uced my credit limit by 3/4 to only $500 with no more cash advances. This is actually a case of religious discrimination not by a computer, but by an individual that does not like the religious organization. In trying to straighten this out I have been fed lies that if I continued to make timely payments the bank would review my case and restore my good credit by December. This was not done. I called in December and again in January. Still nothing was changed. In February I stopped using or shopping Target. During all the years I was with this store my bills were always paid in full, within a month and on time or usually ahead of time. This June 2011 after receiving promotional mail in my financial account inbox I discovered while trying to correct their errors that my balance had not been restored! The clerk refused to do anything about it despite coaxing. I finally told her that I was no longer going to employ Target and that she was fired and accused me of using profanity though I had not and told her so, but she proceeded to make me wrong and hung up. This behavior is standard because a call to the supervisor to report the situation only brought more justifications of how conservative the bank is, blamed the economy and then hung up. The "Rewards Points" are also a sham and deception - they give you a one day "Shopping Spree" To BUY the overpriced stuff at a 10% "Saving" - They try to lure big spending at the false hope of saving - This is not conservative but a scam! The never intend to provide any return or value for their so-called rewards. I have never used the many reward points or their discounts. Other nearby stores provide much better value and appreciation. Target is not worth the gasoline to drive there. Target has lied, deceived, mis-represented and discriminated against me. They have lost my respect, my patronage and any business I could have had with them. |
