Target.com Order Cancelled, No Notification Internet |
27th of Dec, 2011 by User262885 |
On December 7, 2011 my husband went to Target.com and purchased the Graco DuoGlider Stroller in the Lowery print. The item was listed for $97.99 and free shipping was offered over $50. When he went to check out, he was charged $24.52 for shipping. Since the item was listed with free shipping he decided to contact Target to see what the issue was. Upon contacting the company the customer service representative told him that she wasn’t sure why it was coming up this way and the only way for her to correct the issue was for him to submit the order and she would refund him the cost of shipping. She then provided him with reference number. This morning he realized that we still hadn’t received the stroller, so he went online to check the status and he could not find anything. Upon contacting Target he was told that the order was never processed. Yet we received a confirmation number and en email stating otherwise? The customer service representative indicated that the individual who was working on the shipping refund may have not fully processed the order and therefore it was never truly received. Yet we didn’t get an email stating that the item was cancelled or would not be received. I find it ridiculous that we have been waiting for 16 days for an item only to find out it was not coming. We have a new baby on the way and my husband and I had decided that the stroller would be my only gift for Christmas as we were saving for the new baby. Now I find out that we will not be receiving this item. On top of not getting my Christmas present, I must now find another higher priced stroller to replace the one that I have ordered from Target. I am disgusted that this issue has happened. This was our first (and probably last) time ordering from Target and the level of customer service offered has been subpar. I liken this to this year’s issue with Best Buy, selling items that were not in stock and would not be in stock in time for the holiday. The difference is, when these people contacted Best Buy they were offered gift cards for the issue and offered a solution. I have not been offered any type of solution and I cannot believe this is how a multi-billion dollar corporation would treat their customers. It is as if to say “Who cares about one customer, we have a tonâ€. Target.com is not offering me anything to alleviate this issue! I even asked that a similar stroller be sold to me at the same price (there is a $25 price difference between the two). |
