Tampa Singles has a great ploy to get you in the door. Beware this is the Ultimate scam. They do have creative advertising... like for women they have an ad at the top of Plenty of Fish that states "WE WANT COUGARS" .. "we have too many men and need women" this is a total lie ... I asked to date younger men ... which I always do on my own and was told that this could not be done because younger men don't date older women ... hummm then this tells you how completely a lie their advertising is! Any Lawyers out there listening? After you have been on Plenty of Fish or Match or any other site and you decide that you are ready to REALLY settle down with one great person the thought comes to you "If a person is willing to put some money down this person just may be seriously desiring a committed relationship & this person just may have an income as well as a desire to find the perfect person to share life with"... I'd be willing to put some money down to find that. This is what Tampa Singles wants you to believe. DO NOT go there. They DO NOT and CAN NOT deliver. The price tag is $4000 HOWEVER they will give you a great deal for $2000 unless you start to walk out the door and then they go way down to $1500... what a bargain! And it might be IF they had any people to date... they don't ... it is so sad and too bad for you! I've been on 4 dates since January that's $375 a date!!! They take what ever they can get from you and when they do not deliver and you ask for a refund NO WAY you will ever see it. I have spoken with many who have been completely ripped off in the same manner ... men and women. They do not match you with ANYONE you would match yourself with. IF you have to give your phone number to any advertiser... DONT fill in the blanks... it is Tampa Singles waiting for you and you are in trouble if you answer the call. I hope I saved a few friends from this complete disappointing scam. |

Yes, I agree. They are one of a few operations using a website which appears to be an online dating website but once you click on the first link you are immediately taken to a few forms on the back end where they gather contact and other information. You are then redirected to a real online dating site.
They then use the information they gathered to contact you at home and setup a meeting to discuss their service. Be aware that once you go to this meeting they will try to sell you a dating plan for $4000 and will lower this amount to as low as $1000 with an easy payment plan to get you before you can leave.
Once you are a member with a signed contract the politeness goes right out the window and your basically told no matter how you are matched and whether you are satisfied with the service or not they will almost threaten you and remind you under the contract they don't legally agree to do anything but match you a certain amount of times for X number of dollars.
One of the worst things is that people don't know is when you are matched you are basically setup to go on a completely blind date at a high priced so called venue (restaurant). You absolutely get no photograph or have any contact with the person until you meet at the venue. This in my eyes is ridiculous seeing that some people pay upwards of $400 per date.
They claim to be the biggest and the best but they are not even registered with the better business bureau (but the BBB still has registered complaints against them). but actually I know that the person in charge of matching clients is an older woman who works from home far away from Tampa. Sad Really =(
Be very careful if you fall into Tampa Singles advertising and dating scam because honestly you will be very sorry you ever dealt with them at all. You will unfortunately in the end be made out to be the " bad person ". There is a lot of finger pointing once you realize they really don't even have anyone for you to date - let alone the quality person you where so hoping to meet.
My advice: DON'T EVEN TALK TO THEM. Good luck my friends... "GRANT" |

BTW: If you ask them about scam reports and the BBB they will shirk it off and say something like " this is a very emotional business and some people can not help from displaying their emotions" which is complete crap. lol but expect an answer to once again point the finger at someone other than there selves.
I promise you I am not the one., , / Out Grant |
