T mobile The Punishment For Parting all, Nationwide |
27th of Sep, 2011 by User203246 |
My story begins at the end of five years of loyalty to t-mobile, and having recommended many people to them. I had four phones with them for about $200.00 a month, only one had internet, this was fine, it was everything that i needed until I bought a new home ! I wasn't happy to find that my phone service of five years didn't work in my new home, but this wasn't going to be a problem either according to the friendly voice at there customer service, I gave her my new address, after a few minutes she informed me that there was nothing that they could do to give me service, however sense it was not my fault they would let me out of my contract ( which was supposedly only on three of the four phones with one to expire soon). I decided to port the first two to sprint a couple days after that conversation. Then what should have been the first sign, T-mobile didn't seem to know that the above conversation had even taken place however, she had a solution, all I had to do is bring proof of my new residence to one of there stores and they'll wave the early termination fees ! No problem, I did this, they put a note in the system, I ported two numbers and let them know that I would port the other two in less then a month. wouldn't you know, Sprint didn't work out here either, in fact the only one that would was Verizon ! No problem, I switched the first two from Sprint to Verizon, and then (on schedule) I contacted T-mobile to let them know that I was ready to port the other two numbers. Customer service did not seem to know about the agreement to drop the termination fees again, and this time they referred me back to the purchase of a phone that I tried for a week and decided to return on the number that was out of contract ! After a long conversation and some research, they discovered that I was telling the truth and once again dropped all of the would be termination fees, and this time they would make sure that the system was properly noted and if I had anymore problems not to worry, it would be taken care of. My final bill from T-mobile ; $1015 ??? Of course the friendly voice assures me that it was a simple mistake, don't worry, I would have a corrected bill in the mail, if I wanted to I could simply wait for the correct bill before I pay it ! There never was a correct bill, now I have two different collection agencies on my credit report from them, and a law office that talked me into paying the part that I thought I owed. Now (of course) there seems to be no records of most of those conversations, they've reduced it to $488.00 (not counting the $200.00 that I paid there lawyer), they've put a major dent in my credit and harassed me for about a year. I don't know what else to do, can't let them keep stealing money from me ! So here I am warning you. Get it in writing, and never believe that friendly voice on the other end. |
