First of all you are asked to come to a "house", and its a creepy dirty one at that. To get started with his agency, you are pressured to buy poor quality and expensive photographs/portfolios. The photo session is $350 for the 1st hour and $175 each additional hour with him saying it would take at least 2 hrs. That is a sitting fee ONLY, the pictures/portfolio will cost you around an additional $1,000+ After meeting with him about my son, I had additional questions for him before committing to let his "in-house photographer" do our pictures. I asked Mr. Sunshine if he had proof of the work his models have done to show me, he had none. Zero. I questioned if his agency was going to actually get work for my son and not just become part of his website, anything a responsible parent would ask before putting that kind of investment out there and subjecting a child. He could not answer any of my questions and told me since I had so many questions and concerns that I needed to keep looking for an agency to represent my child. So in fact he DID answer my questions, HE IS A FRAUD. No legitimate agency would do that. A responsible parent WILL and SHOULD ask multiple questions and have the respect of them answered and shown proof of work. Basically what you do here, is your forced to hire his in house photographer, pay $1,000+ on pictures, and then you sit on his website never to get any work. DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR CHILD TO THIS AGENCY! Any well known legitimate agency will have all work done by their models available for you to see, they won't pressure you into using their photographer (no in house one for sure!) and if you have questions and concerns they will do their best to answer and assure you of their business. He also ONLY had pictures of his "website" in his office (AKA His House), shouldn't you have pictures of the work your models have done in there? He also have a Better Business Bureau sign in his office, but when I checked the BBB's website it says " This business is NOT BBB accredited" Also I looked for reviews on the internet, I found several but they all seemed fishy. AND they were not of the work child models were doing but only reviews of his in house photographer. There is also numerous babies and toddlers on his website but when I asked him about my 3 year old daughter, he said he did not accept babies and toddlers. ODD that on your website they are all over it available for hire??? This is not a modeling agency but a house of photography. I have done A LOT of research into several agencies. I have been in contact with a few very well known agencies in this business, when I asked them about "Sunshine Modeling" they told me to run away from there as fast as I could. Beware and stay away. |
