Sunrise Credit Performs Fradulent, Unauthorized Charges Applied Farmingdale, New York

I was first contacted by Sunrise Credit about a year ago when my useless college (Berkeley College) sent me into collections. Unfortunately, due to the economy, I was unable to find work right out of school so I fell behind on my payments. After paying online for several months until I realized I wasn't receiving ANY paper statements as to what my balance was and what had already been paid. Note: This information wasn't readily available online either. Upon calling, I was informed by someone that they, and I quote: "Don't send paper statements" and that I would be unable to receive anything reflective of my balance etc. Seriously? She gave me my balance and told me to "Keep track" of my account. Months went by, I eventually set up payments to be made via directly debiting from my checking account. Long story short, several months later I had to enroll in a debt management program. I called to tell Sunrise Credit to please take my debit card off of their records and that no further payments were to be directly debited from this card. This was fine for the month of August, no charges went through. Then September I find a charge on my debit card. Promptly I called my bank to see what I should do. Unfortunately they informed me that I had to call Sunrise. Lori is the associate I got on the phone. I very rationally asked that she call merchant services at my bank branch to have the charge released as they did not have authorization to charge my account. She then basically told me in so many words that they did have the right o charge my account and that I was basically out of luck because it had already gone through - which was a lie as it was clearly "pending" in my account. She read over the notes and even read to me the conversation I'd had with Gina to TAKE MY CARD OFF FILE - now, I'm not sure what that means to these blood suckers but it seems fairly simple to me. Lori was nasty, unprofessional, and continued to raise her voice and speak to me like I was her child. Eventually I just hung up on her. I now have had to cancel all of my account information and wait to file further disputes on this charge which could waste up to 40 days of my life and hold up money I don't have. This company is unethical, unprofessional, and just plain rotten to deal with.
