Do yourself a favor and stay away from this franchise, they are nothing more than a bunch of scum bags who will tell you what you want to hear and then leave you out on your own. They will charge you 4.5% a week and do nothing for you. They will charge you for products and materials they got for free and leave you without a warranty, they did this with a cash register we paid $6000.00 for later to find out (when one stopped working) they received 9 of them for free ours being one of them. The mall we are in is tacking on all kinds of extra charges, and they are no where around to help us. Do yourself a favor and go independant you dont need to pay these a-holes all that money for them to do nothing. All in all they are not what they appear to be, you can ask them about this report and they will bullshit you about how its our fault. This was the biggest mistake of our lives. You do what you want but were just trying to keep innocent and inexperienced new bussiness owners from making the same mistake we did. So in closing stay away from Street Corner convenience stores out of Topeka Kansas they are nothing more than a bunch of con artists and scams. Once they have your money you are on your own. |

I am writing now to supplement and update my earlier posts about problems I had experienced with the Franchisor (McColla Enterprises, Ltd.) concerning my operation of a Street Corner mini-convenience store franchise. First, I can now report that my cashregister/point of sale equipment problems have been resolved to my satisfaction. The Franchisor worked with us, the manufacturer and a service/repair company to ultimately get me a service contract and warranty repairs on the register. It took some time and inconvenience to everyone but the problem that originally provoked my original irate postings were addressed.
I also note that the Franchisor has adamantly denied all my allegations about reselling me a system that they got for free - apparently the systems were acquired for some sort of consideration in a deal between my Franchisor and the supplier of the systems. I do understand that I was charged for the system at a price that would have been no higher than normal for this system.
I consider this matter rectified and resolved. |
