Aug 2011, I bought my wife a used Yukon Denali, from Stonebriar Chevrolet. The sales man in the finance department lied to my wife and I told us the extended warranty that he was selling us “covers everything even every button in the truckâ€. The week after I bought the vehicle and the warranty I took it in to fix a knocking sound under the truck and I told the service consultant to replace the a/c button because it had worn off. The Service consultant said he didn't know if that would be covered. I said what are you talking about the sales man in the finance department that sold the warranty to my wife and I said it covered everything even every button the truck. The service man said he would check into it and get let me know. I picked up the truck a few days later and they replaced the A/C Button. A week or so later the Truck's factory radio/DVD/navigation system was getting very hot and making a smell of burnt wires. The screen on it was to hot to even touch. Also the rear a/c screen was also very hot to the touch at the same time. I took the Truck back to the dealership to get fixed and the service consultant said that the warranty I had purchased did not cover everything there are certain items that it does not cover. I asked for him to contact the General Manager and for him to please be advised of what I was told from the sales man in the finance department. A week went by not even a phone call from anyone. The next week I called and spoke with the Service Consultant and asked him if he had spoke with the GM about how the sales man in the Finance department had lied to me. He said he spoke with the Finance Manger and explained everything to him. Seeing that over a week went by and the Finance Manager never called me I then asked to be transferred to the General Manager. The General Manager was in a meeting so I was asked to leave a voice mail for him. The secretary said that I would need to speak with Justin the Finance Manager. I explained to her he was notified of my problem over a week ago and never felt it was important enough to call me so I would like to speak with the General Manager. A day later I got a call from Justin the Finance Manager telling me he didn't know that he needed to call me back and he could refund me for the warranty. I asked to get a copy of the video of when I purchased the warranty. Justin said they only kept the video for a month. Justin explained what he called refunding me. He wanted to sign a release of the warranty and then in about a month I would get a check for the remaining amount. Not a refund from the dealership but a refund of what was not used on the warranty. “He wasn't doing anything; I can call the warranty company my self and get a refund of what I had not used. I wanted a full refund of what I paid the dealership for the warranty because I was lied to about the warranty. |
