I can't remember the spelling of either of his names, so it could be Steven Denis, but I think I'm right. No one calls him Steve, so this email's a bit strange, but that's what he's called on Linkedin.
I will copy him in on this for comments.
Admittedly it was a while back, but evidently I wasn't on the ball enough, when a recruiter told me that Stephen Dennis had been behind an application of mine being refused for a quantity surveying job at TfL.
It's a matter of fact that in my previous role there I'd done a very good job and I might add, Stephen and I had never had any cause to cross each other. Further, my god work was used by him to brag about how brilliant his department was; using the word 'we' to describe its successes prior to him being put in charge of it, so a normal person would be keen to have me working for him / alongside him.
This is the thing. Stephen was prone to the occasional outburst of anguished winging, but never toward me. I realize that he's very embittered about how much money he gets, despite he's getting a lot more than the average person there and in the UK. TfL pays very well, and gives generous pensions and benefits, such as TWO year commuting tickets to each of its staff. None the less, as he's got it in for me and I've never fallen out with him, I imagine he's probably at this all of the time. He is driven mainly by a general hatred of other people who he works for, which I cannot condone, but I believe comes from him being a pot bellied, come over wearing middle aged failure. I find that impotence generally has a hand in these things.
As I say, i never even fell out with him, so for him to tell the recruitment agent that I wasn't going to be taken on because I was "a cunt" wasn't something which particularly impressed me; nor that when pressed on this point, he couldn't elaborate in specifics.
Construction is famous for its corruption, clickiness, bullying and general unpleasantness, but as it's TfL, they have all these ridiculous initiatives about everything, and as a lot of the other staff realize that he's a horrible winging creep, they'll find ways of sacking him out and he'll loose his pension. You see TfL is a mega corrupt entity, but as he's never been involved with anything to do with lucrative consultancy contracts for his friends, I know he's not on the inside, so to speak.
I definitely don't question my source as there's no need, as he'd have nothing to gain and everything to lose from lying, but we also have to consider Stephen's vindictive, hate driven life history.
Obviously this is common in the civil service, where pettiness, sycophancy and corruption always comes before any attempt to do their job or benefit the end user, but it is against their stated policy. If you ever want me to repeat any of this in an official capacity, I'll be more than happy to.
You can contact me on:

if you're interested in the possibility that he's done this to you. I'll be amazed if he hasn't done it to other people.
Another thing I'm interested in is whether 'Steve' was behind the emails that alleged that their was some sex for favours going on in the organisation at some high level. I don't know why, but a lot of people suspected him. I forget how it linked, but Dana Skelley was being apparently hinted at.
He's been copied in on this, which he'll probably spend the next year fretting about, but that will teach him for being a 'cunt' I think you'll agree.
Thanks for reading,

Dear Readers,
It seems that I fell foul of believing the spell checker when tired having just re-read my article there. I sometimes spell things wrong, but I never get the wrong tense, as per "there, they're and their" etc..
I suppose it's only been three weeks, and this isn't a general public interest article, but this article comes up at the third place in Google Encrypted under a search for:
"steve dennis tfl", so that can't be too bad.
I reiterate. I am happy to repeat what I learned in any capacity necessary. I can also assure any third parties concerned that Steve Dennis once interrupted a meeting about some aspects of highway management and had some totally inappropriate outburst about contractors which didn't make any sense, but was very demoralizing for all of those who didn't know better than to ignore him. He is like a cancer in any organisation; hate driven and jealous of everything, whilst doing very little himself. He's technically well capable, but his scientific mental optimum is retarded by his off target views and illusions of grandeur.
What also needs to be remembered is that TfL is very top heavy with an Eiffel Tower type shape management structure with people man marking their single subordinate and on and, down to the actual pen pushers of which there are definitely far too many. This will make it very difficult for any of those in the spire ever find things to do as there's always some mass of other people to do it, and, to take responsibility for them doing it, whatever it is. |
