Sprint Helped ruin my credit. Internet

I was with Sprint about 6 years ago. I left my father in charge of paying my cell phone bill while I was deployed. Which he failed to do. So I owed Sprint about 350. I paid them when I got back from my deployment. I got married shortly after I got back. I got a letter from Sprint saying that I still needed to pay the 350. My wife at the time went to a Sprint store talked to a manager and was told it was put on the wrong account. Gave my wife at the time the information and explained what had happened and said she would take care of it. Two years later I get a letter from Sprint saying I still owe them $350. I contact them. I go through the whole process again. But this time with customer service and that whole department. Sprint told me that it was never taken care of. So the manager that my Ex-wife had talked to dropped the ball. Customer service said that they would fix the problem and gave me all the information on everything that they did. Here it is three years later. I just got a letter from the same collection agency that I got a letter from three years ago. Apparently I still owe Sprint the $350 from five years ago. Now I have to jump through all these hoops again to get this "taken care of" I've heard it before. My suggestion is to drop Sprint while you still can and make sure everything is in order and keep all your information. Over the last five years and three moves a divorce and a marriage I no longer have that information.
