When we first moved in, we were on a 3-month lease. Then, we were on a month to month lease. Every month we went to the office to get a quote, the rent would change dramatically (ex. one month it went from $1200 a month to $1700 a month). Then, we were told it is not $1700 a month, it is $1200 a month. They had us sign the month to month lease for August in June, so I called and inquired why we are signing the lease for August not July. We were advised "you don't have to re-sign the July lease, we will just replace the 1st page without your signature for July and attach your signature page to it". In the mean time, I am thinking to myself "isn't that illegal"? The carpet was not replaced when we moved in. However upon moving out (after staying at the apartment for about 6 months), we were charged a carpet replacing fee, some garage fee, and a misc charge. We contacted the office on multiple occasions via fax and phone, but we were never provided with documentations, receipts, or photos showing what the charges were. Less than 7 days after finding out we were charged over $1,000 for the carpet replacing, some garage fee, and a misc charge, we were contacted by a collections agency. REALLY? LESS THAN 7 DAYS? After receiving the collection notice in the mail, I tried contacting the Apartments and the corporate office again on multiple occasions via certified mail trying to get documentations, receipts, and photos and see if the company is willing to work it out. However, I heard nothing. DO NOT RENT or do any business with this company or you will be SORRY!!!
