I called Spano Plumbing Servies d.b.a Mr. Rooter Plumbing & Heating for a service call. On August 17, 2011 they estimated the cost of repairs to be $1,800.00. The technician insisted on full payment, I gave him $800.00 deposit to start with. After the August 17, 2011, I called the office numerous times regarding the work that was not started. Every day they had different excuse as why they didnâ€™t start the job. On August 25, 2011 I demanded the deposit back, since the work was never started. The technician asked me to come in the next day to pick up the deposit at 10am. When I got there, on August 26, 2011, I requested the deposit, and the receptionist took the deposit receipt and went to the back. About ten minutes later, she asked that I wait for a few minutes. A gentleman came out to speak with me, I asked what his position was with the company, and the gentleman stated he was the controller. I asked for my deposit back. His explanation was that the money was spent for the job. The best part of his explanation was that he used the money for the job, a job that was never started. No one from the company came to start the job. This place is a complete scam. For anyone even considering using them, do not pay them until the job is done. Beware of this company, worst service ever. We have legal action pending against the company, will keep you updated.
