Southwestern College High Tuition Charge Cincinnati, Ohio |
15th of Nov, 2010 by User514339 |
I'm a former student at Southwestern College, Cincinnati, Ohio 632 Vine Street. I enrolled at this school for a degree in Criminal Justice. I got in without a High School Diploma. I just had to pass a compass test to see if I have the score to have the ability to benifit. My admissions recruiter told me that I can start classes even without a High school diploma. I was quite surprised they let me in. I was somewhat hesitant but I just need to get back into school. They said they would help me get my GED. We'll after applying for financial aid and student loans. I graduated from the school and owe over $$30000 in loans for a two year associate and didn't realize how much I've been charge in tuition. Financial aid department didn't want to help explain anything. Everytime I tried to make an appointment, they tell me to come back when its convient for them. It seems the director of the financial aid dept didn't really want to help me. She told me "She was busy" I think the student is more important. When I initially signed up, they just told me to sign here and there and didn't really get a chance to understand there tuition. YOu can't even look up your own account online. You have to go to their business dept and ask for a copy of your ledger. Its so confusing to a normal person. They explain the cost but wow Over $4000 a quarter plus books. Xavier I believe is just about that. They take advantage of non-high school students because they the school know, thats the bait. Wouldn't you enroll if you couldn't get into another college? Once admissins have you locked in and your a student, they don't care about you. Your just a number to them. All the admissions representitives have a quoto to make. I can't even get a job now because I have a felony on my record and my admissions rep never disclosed that it would hinder me from finding a job. Now I'm out over 30K with no job opportunity. |
