Sleek Medspa evasive and pressure tactics to get credit card
23rd of Oct, 2011 by User577930
I attended an Open House at the New York Fifth Avenue location where they served wine and took us one by one in a locked room for our "consultation". I was under the impression that the "consultation" would be with a physician, but I realized that the person in the room with me was not a doctor at all, but a sales person who convinced me after leaving me locked in the room alone for quite some time to leave a "deposit" of $500 which would be applied to future services. It felt like a bail bond! I was presented with a contract which I felt uncomfortable signing and was told that I could use the deposit for any of the spa services, such as massages and facials if I decided not to have plastic surgery. The contract, however, did NOT state that at all, and the salesperson told me to write it on the front if I was unsure. Which I did. Two years later, I still have not received any services, despite my numerous attempts to make appointments to have a consultation with a doctor. My attempts always end up with either no reply, or I end up in a locked room with a salesperson trying to get me to buy a "package". Most recently, I went thought I was having a facial, but was instead put into a locked room with a salesperson who tried to get me to buy liposuction and became angry when I told her I just wanted to use my $500 for a facial. She insisted I purchase a "package" or it would not be effective. I refused and she left the room. She came back with a "coupon" for a free service to let me try it out BEFORE I buy a "package". I asked to make an appointment at that time and she told me to email her. She is a salesperson, not a receptionist. I have called and asked for a refund, and was sent to a person in Florida who emailed me a copy of my contract stating NO REFUNDS. I have been refused service and I paid $500 They will not give me any service unless I purchase a "package" or a "procedure" They rely on evasive and pressure tactics to extort money from clients.
