I was on a leave of absence due to having 3 vertebre removed. I could not complete my clinicals so I was put on hold. My advisor called me the other day asking if I was ready to start my clinicals. I told him it was set up for me to start this following Monday. I also spoke to my career advisor and it was all set up. Monday morning before I leave, I check my school email. Itwas telling me I had been terminated from the college because I hadn't met SAR (Student Academic Requirements). After speaking to the dean, I was told that I had not met 67% of my requirements and had not completed the courses by the date. Granted I was on a leave of absense and have a doctors excuse stating I was not allowed to drive during the healing of my surgery. My advice...find a local college. It may take awhile longer, but in the long run, it will pay off!
