Sitter City Sittercity deletion of account and unporfessional service Internet |
26th of Oct, 2011 by User177514 |
I joined sittercity very excited about what they have to offer, until I started the background check. I ran a background check and the results came back as failed. I contacted Lexisnexis the reporting company that Sitter city uses and was advised that the name does not match the name given. I was told the name for my soc sec number was my maiden name, which was also included under maiden name on the application for the background check. I told them that I was recently married and the response was that if I have no new credit in my married name then it will not pick this information up and I will need to send in a drivers lic and soc sec card copy. I was told it would take between 24 and 30 days. My name at the social security administration office is no longer what they have on file. I contacted Sitter city to let them know of the situation and was told to do as Lexisnexis advised. I was on sitter city last night without any problems and then I woke up this morning and was going to send in this information when an individual that I had contacted via sittercity contacted me because they sent emails to every idividual advising them that I have broken the terms of use and have been deleted from the site completley. I was not even notified before they sent this embarrasing email out. I then called sitter city and talked to an agent and a supervisor and was told this is procedure it it is not cleared up in five days that they delete you (it was not five days this took place). I explained I had no way of clearing this up in five days since the proccess takes 24-30 days to clear. The first agent told me this was untrue, that they wouldn't say this because she knows it does not take that long. They said well when I get the issue fixed I can get my account turned back on. I asked if at that time they were going to send out an email to all of the individuals advising them there was a mistake on their part and a was told no. I explained that I was talking to individuals about positions starting as early as this saturday and now have no way to contact these individuals because of a faulty service on their and Lexisnexis account. They did not care and just kept saying it was procedure and they needed no reason to cancel anyones account because they have the right to do that. I told them their service was unproffesional and I planned to discountinue using the services and then the supervisor told me he was going to make it so I could not use the site at all and said good bye and hung up. I feel they use faulty information but do not want to help clear up the problems, though they try to pretend they will. The supervisor said he was taking notes so this could be fixed in the future. This still did nothing for my situation and I have viewed another report from 2010 with the same issue. I feel they have ruined my character to many individuals I was planning on babysitting for and who also live in my community. This is highly embarrasing and seems like an unreasonable way to do business. People should not be punished for getting married. Just to add I also worked on a Marine Corp base for MCCS less than two months ago before I moved, which means I obviously have nothing on my background check. |
