Siler Financial Group, LLC SFG Longview, Florida I received a call from a Siler Financial telemarketer who evidentally had a credit report on file for my husband and myself. They told me that they could save us over l0,000 dollars in credit reduction. Before I knew it, $l595 was taken from my credit card. Plus another $275 for express services for the cash to be expressed to Siler Financial Group. I did not authorize this transaction. I called my bank the very next day and they said it already had be deducted from my balance. I was ripped off and received no services and the royal round around. $1595 was taken from my credit card and another $275 for express services that I did not authorize. I contacted Siler right away and told them that I did not want this service. I was told that the supervisor was not in but they told me of course there would'nt be a problem. I did not get a call back. I called again and left another message. No response. I finally got in touch with the General Manager, Amy Hanson, by writing a letter dated February 21, 2010. She called me back amd referred me to Dee Dee to take care of the problem. Dee Dee told that I could not receive a refund. But could petition it to her boss. I did that and waited for weeks to get a response on the petition. Never received a call back. I finally called her back and she told me that her boss would not approve a refund because I had too much credit card debt already. All of this happened during a time that my mother had died, my father was in hospice and I was taking care of him. And, to top all of this off, my husband had a "drop dead" heart attack and was resusitated at the hospital and was in critical care when I received the Siler phone call. Needless to say, I wasn't in any condition to make any decisions and requested an immediate refund. All of this upfront money and no contact is illegal and heartless under the situation. I understand that Siler is no longer apart of the BBB as well which they said they were members. I believe I was victimized by this whole process and consider it morally and legally wrong. |

I had a similar incident. I never completed my transaction, but was billed $1400 on my credit card. I informed them that this was not the type of service that I had been seeking. I was not interested in doing all the work my self. To make a long story short, I was charged this amount for a booklet containing phone numbers for me to call. A MAJOR RIPOFF!!! |
