I was contacted by Sierra Investment Group just like a sales call. It was an automated call and you are asked to stay on the line if you are interested in a government grant for new or expanding businesses. The sales person on the line said his name was Jon Cole and he was going to help me get $100,000 to $400,000 to start or expand a business. He explained that this money will never have to be paid back. He went through a questionaire. He really took his time explaining everything to me. He was a bit pushy and did not like answering questions about his company or himself. He kept saying ma'am I will go over that with you in a minute. He kept asking me if I had atleast $4000 to continue the grant request. At this point I knew it was a complete ripoff. His attitude totally gave it away. He asked for my email so he could send me the paperwork. He said I would receive a call on Monday letting me know if our government grant was approved. Well, of course we knew that it would be approved. He never asked any personal information such as social security or address. That is why I knew it had to be fake. Anything real would require signatures, etc. So when we hung up I looked up everything I could find on the internet. He said they had been in business for 10 years. Then I called his office and got hung up on 4 times. They didn't even say their company name when they answered the phone. They had a facebook icon to join their facebook page. Their facebook was brand new since November 2011. They posted their own YouTube videos in October 2011. Only one recommendation on facebook...A dual ordainted pentecostal & SBA Baptist named Tim Collins who is the executive director of AACCTTSS, Inc. out of Castlewood, Virginia. One of his employers is Quasar Web Services which Tim Collins claims to be the co-founder and partner of. They "host and build web solutions, do e-commerse, e-publishing, marketing, and globalize projects. For projects with a future we prefer to work for minimum cost down and future returns." Wow what a team! |
