ship your car now LLC shipyourcarnow.com false and misleading practices; bait and switch methods Boca Raton, Florida
6th of Feb, 2013 by User776283
I noticed a report on here that was later claimed to be a competitor making false claims. Read that post, as it is essentially what transpired with me. The salesperson made false claims about his role stating that I would get a bunch of calls from brokers, but that he was the guy handling and transporting the car and he was the direct source. He did this to create the impression that he wasnt a broker and that he was actaully moving the vehicle. FALSE. The company is a broker and the sales guy is done with you once the locate a driver and get your money. Not only did the entire process get screwed up by this salesperson, his dispatch area seems to be largely inept at communicating and gathering the necessary information. Being that this is their business, you would think that they know what to communicate. They are intentionally misleading and I personally experienced the bait and switch pricing tacitcs referred to in the prior postings. I am not a competitior but I wish I would have used one....anyone, nobody else can possibly be this misleading. What Ship your car now LLC does is lowball you, but about $50 or so...most of your bids will be right on top of each other. These guys know that becasue they basically all work with the same ACTUAL drivers. So you sign a contract at their low ball price and yes you post a deposit. DO it with AMEX so you can have leverage and have them suspend the payment if and when (basically, "when") they try to change the amount on you. Only you wont know that they did it until the driver arrives with your car and paperwork and presents a higher COD amount that you owe. None of this having been communicated to you. Problem is, Ship Your car now has already been paid ther fee, which they refere to as a "fuel surcharge" but its acutally thier fee. The amount due now on COD is the drivers fee (a different company)...and they have your vehicle. Once you paid the FEE to the broker, they pretty much leave you hanging. So, doesnt that sound exactly like what was described above? While it may not be the entire company, some of their sales guys (or at least the one i dealt with) would seem to be less than genuine...that's being nice. Not sure anything the guys says has any basis in fact and is generally misleading. Avoid this group.

Took a deposit to move my car the. Raised the price the. Never showed was told they needed a few more days and would not refund the money unless car was stolen or owner dead. Moved out of state and could not wait. Continued to raise prices and threaten customer. Already reported them to the bank for potential fraud. Charged for services not rendedred and will not refund money. $$$update$$$. Received two phone calls from Dwayne who has asked me to take this down. If I do I will get a refund in two days. If Dwayne said it would take as long as need be. Talk about cohertion. Stated I would update it to state I received an refund if I got one. Dwayne stated the whole thing must come down or I am liable for deformation even though the rate was raised. Check this out
@@@@ John,

As per our conversation you informed me that when you are refunded you will be taking your negative posts down from all the sites you have contacted (Transport Reviews, BBB etc.) Please confirm that you will be doing this.

Ship Your Car Now@@@@'

The company can state whatever they want but this email is CYOA and an attempt to silence an unhappy customer. NEVER do business with them unless you want a headache or hasten. Here is another one@@@@

We can cancel your order, but we do not issue refunds in this department. If you would like to request a refund please send a certified, notarized letter via postal mail, Fedex, or UPS. Please send the request to 2200 N. Federal Highway Suite 206, Boca Raton, FL 33431 and address it to the Accounting Department. Please include your full name, order ID, vehicle, transport route, and also include any documentation for the reason of cancelling e.g. vehicle was stolen (police report)..owner of vehicle passed away(death certificate).
@@@. So they didn't provide a truck and I have to go through this haste for a refund. I mean come on a death certificate.
