I hired this guy to take 2 boats to Galveston, Texas from Ca.We agreed on a price and he was given part payment. He arrived in Galveston with boat 1 too late to make it to port that closes at 4.30 due tue flat tires he had to fix. Instead of putting the boat at a safe Marina I had suggested to him over the weekend, he just left it in a parkinglot, without asking anybody permission and not even taking down the address! Then he left and went back to Cali to get boat 2. His famous blue van broke down on the way to Galveston for the second time, so he had another guy come to him with another van to tow the boat the rest of the way and give him parts for his van.Now hes turning around back home. When driver 2 gets to Galveston it is, of coarse, again too late. This whole time I have been worried sick about boat1 that he just left for almost a week unattended and unlocked! Heres when he gets real professional. He is now looking at google maps trying to remember where he put the boat! while his driver is driving around town....of coarse they dont find it, because it has been impounded. For that, I am at this point grateful, could have been stolen and Im sure Shayne wouldnt cough up the money to pay for it, or has any insurance covering his stupidity. I pay the fee, get the paperwork done and tell the driver in Galveston he has to stay and get the boats delevered to port.He is a good man and takes care of it.I also had to send 600 dollars to him,he had no money for gas home. Up until this point I have given Shayne, his driver and the impound yard more than agreed sum for the transport. Shayne is now instead of apologizing for his screw ups trying to get me to pay him more money! When I told him that he had already gotten all the money, he blew up on the phone and started to threaten me with all kinds of things. He kept calling like a madman and sending me txt messages about what he was going to do to me. Then, he tried to put a lien on the boats, claiming I owed him more than he was ever to get, just dumb. I filed a police report and showed them the txt messages and the papers and they agreed that this man is trouble and they would arrest him if he made a move against me. Do I need to say STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY??? |
