My wife a senior citizen paid out over $10,000 to take their graphics course.. A task that I thought was pretty remarkable for a senior citizen to invest the amount of money for such a course and then to embark on schooling Sadly with life commitments andhaving major surgery she was not able to complete course according to their timeline. We are very thankful all is well but age plays a big role in getting active again. In talking with their staff we were led to believe that a no charge extensive was a real possibility do to my wife's situation. Reality was they would not allow her to finisher her course unless she paid them another $500 for the extension and it had to be paid in 10 days. I would think that if they can get seniors to pay that type of $$ and its an online course what is the big deal about an extension unless in my view its all about ripping of seniors. |

Actually, it is very similarly structures to a regular in-class school. Just like ANY school, there are deadlines for assignments and they have closing dates for semesters. So you definitely need to complete the coursework within the required timeline, but the fact that they even offer an extension puts them miles ahead of the other online schools out there. I personally have a lot of experience with Sessions College for Professional Design and have found the time I have spent there very well worth the price, although they are a for-profit school. You are not required to purchase any textbooks (that saved you the $500 right there) because everything is included in the price of the courses. Sessions.edu is a great online college geared towards professional design. They were the first accredited online school for design and their instructors include industry leaders. They even have a game art program that is headed by one of the cinematic designers for Halo 2. That is good experience right there. |
