sellyourcalculators.com http://stores.ebay.com/CalcSwap graphing calculator reseller ripped me off West Point, Texas
22nd of May, 2011 by User266652
Saw an ad about a company buying back graphing calculators. After finals, I did not want to see my ti84 again. I passed the class. And little cash would not hurt either, I was broke!lol. Once I found out in order to get cash for the calculator I would need to send them the unit by mail without being paid first, I was having second thoughts. But their website seemed to describe well what you will get for the calculator, so I figured why not?
I paid over 140 bucks for this calculator, light used it over two quarters. It looked pretty new really. it resells used for about 100 bucks. It was the silver edition. Based on the condition, it seemed like would get about 50 bucks for it.
I shipped it. Over email I was informed I was only going to get 8 bucks for it, and they gave me reasons why. Something about missing rubber pad, dotted lines, dark spots, and other mambo jumbo My calculator was flawless, in nearly mint condition. It smelled new! Yet 8 bucks was the going rate. I figured getting it back was a good idea, my freshman sister could use it. But they told me I would need to pay 35 bucks in charges to get it back. I had maxed out my credit cards, how the hell was going to pay 35 bucks? The calculator was a small loss, not really an issue. The reason why I am mad is that I convinced my friends to sell their calculators to this website too. lol . Lo and behold, they were also low balled. And the fees they were charging to get the calculators back, if you didn't like what you were offered, made it not worth the money. Especially when I just did not need a big bulky calculator anymore. I had to buy drinks that spring break. LOl In short, I was screwed by this website. They also sell the same calculators they buy back, but for a whole lot more.

PLEASE! Do yourself a favor and sell to and buy from another reputable vendor!
I asked those people at calcswap on ebay how fast they could actually get the calculator in the mail and they gave me attitude to the question (BEFORE the sale!). I then searched and luckily found this and many other instances of how these people operate.
They never denied the scam as described above by the guy in West point, Texas, all they did was tell me how wonderful they are with so many feedbacks.
The feedback says NOTHING about the way they get the calculators in the first place.
It's a matter of character and integrity.
Either you have it or you don't!
It's not often you get to find out before you bought anything what the vendors character is like. If they will screw the guy in Texas (and who knows how many, others), why not me or you?
I can only guess how they might have acted if I had any problems after the sale. I will not be giving them a chance to screw me, you do as you see fit.
