See Mo Cars Deceitful, sells junk cars, rude Alameda, California |

This place is beyond terrible! They just moved to 1812 Park Street in Alameda, CA a few months ago, from Fremont, CA so that is where I bought car from. But I will tell you now, buyers stay far away from this place! Anyways, I live near Marysville, CA. It’s over a two hour drive to Alameda. My Husband called the owner, "Mo" about a 1997 Trans Am. It is beautiful and he said he was going to give him a good price for it because he needed to make more room on his lot for more "high end" cars. But he was selling the car on Craigslist as a PRIVATE OWNER! How illegal is that! So we make the drive after we get of work. We went and checked out the car and it looked great for being a 97. Perfect paint job, body had no problems, and the inside was super clean. We test drove it, and the owner came with us. He tired to only have me go around the block... Umm no. So we went around for a while and it drove great. I should have took it on the freeway, but I didn't know the area well, so I didn't. We got back to the shop to talk money. He had it for $3,700 but dropped it to $3,500. But he wouldn't smog it. I kept telling him that legally, he had to smog it for us. He said we had to get a stock intake and then we could get it to pass smog. I thought it was crap, and I knew he was lying. He kept saying, well the check engine light isn't on so it will pass fine. So I asked him to give us some warranty that if we tried to get it to pass smog and it didn't, that we could bring it back. Nope. He wouldn't back up his product whatsoever! And on top of that he started getting mad at us for questioning the car! When we kept talking to him about the smog, he threw a code reader at my husband and told him to go see if there was a code listed for the check engine light! This man was an A hole! Rude, dishonest, and very pushy. My husband really liked the car so we did purchase it. We paid him $3,500 in cash. On our way home, it started breaking down. The car started surging and losing power when you pressed on the gas pedal. I called up the owner immediately to ask him what the hell was wrong with it, and he said that I probably didn’t put gas in it. Seriously! We stopped to grab something to eat and the car died in the drive through, and we almost couldn't get it to start back up. And then the check engine light came on half way home! I know he cleared out the light before we got there, because he had the code reader out when we got there. And what makes it even worse, he kept saying we were getting such a good deal, and he wouldn’t rip us off because he knew we have a family and kids to take care of, and on top of it we had to drive 125 miles back home! With a broken car? Never again will I do business with this man or this company! And you shouldn’t either!
