Stylists and business owners beware!!! My experience with Salon Factory and Robert Delguidice has been an absolute nightmare. You need to avoid this man and this company at all cost otherwise it will end up costing you and your company dearly. My nightmare began in October 2010. I was in the process of opening my new salon, in San Diego. Obviously, I had a need for a whole lot of equipment to kit out the new salon and I approached Robert, whom I had met via a colleague the year before. I ordered about $3,000 worth of equipment from Salon Factory. This order was taken over the phone with Robert and I provided him with my credit card information. I was told that he would mail me an invoice momentarily and that he would be ordering all the equipment that week. Weeks went by. I never received an invoice, nor any other evidence that the order had been placed. I began contacting Robert frequently, pressuring him for my receipt and for evidence that the orders had been placed. Nothing. Despite repeated promises by phone, he never provided me with anything. By February 2011, with the grand opening of my salon imminent, I had begun to panic. Robert had begun to stop taking my calls, so I had to resort to contacting him using other people's phones that he wouldn't recognize on his cell phone. His voicemail was also full and he stopped responding to my emails. That's when I started to research Robert and his company on the Internet and what I found scared me: It seems he has ripped several companies off over the years and it was looking like I was the next to fall victim to him. Finally, I got a copy of my invoice in July 2011, after Robert finally came to my salon. I had called him from a couple of other vendors and threatened to tell everyone in the local industry about his behavior. I had also made legal threats after almost a year of not getting my order or even an invoice. Eventually he came to my salon. He brought with him a hair dryer that was not an item I had ordered. It's also a poor quality item and a poor substitute for what I actually ordered. It's now been almost a year since I first had the misfortune to order from Salon Factory. I still haven't received any of the items I ordered and although I have received a limited invoice, I still haven't received all the money or products Robert owes me. You need to avoid this man at all costs. Save yourself from having the same nightmare I've been through. |
