Saint Leo University What a ripoff! Not worth the money they take! Tampa, Florida

Fall 2008 I had to drop classes from Saint Leo online education due to a family emergency out of state. Not knowing how to drop this classes, I first emailed all my instructors on the 3rd day of class to let them know I was dropping out. First Drop Notice! Then on that Friday I traveled out of town thinking that was it. However, on Sunday I realized I had to do more. So I went to a relatives home, out of state still, and dropped my classes. Second Drop Notice! I also emailed the financial aid department. Third Drop Notice! The next day I receive an email stating they did get my form. Several months go by before I am notified that I owe for the class because I missed the drop date to get my money back and I owe what the student loan did not pay. I forwarded all my emails and one kind woman tells me all is good. Then I find out from a Mr. Dadez that my drop form did not get received until that Monday, making it a day too late for refunds. Again, I forward all the emails to him in addition to the acknowledgment email that was sent 3 hours before they state my drop form was received. Here I am 3 years later and Saint Leo University has turned by account over to a collection agency that is trying to charge me 44 percent of the amount due as their fee in addition to the class fee. I have turned the collection agency into the BBB because that is illegal and now I am trying to found someone to help me with rest of the problem. When I originally tried to speak to someone over Mr. Dadez, who is just a student advisor, he would not give me a name and told me it doesn't matter it was up to him. I have that email also. I hope anyone reading this thinks twice about using this university for their online learning.
