Last year before mid July 2010 a storm went through my neighborhood and many peoples roofs had suffered damages. A friend name Robert worked for a company name SDS Storm Damage Specialists Of America goes on telling me that his boss and construction company does great work and had 20something yrs of experience. Well I felt I was blessed knowing Robert. But, it is funny how many can just sell you out and without mercy. I guessI needed learn even more in life.

So by July 18,2010 I and my hubby signed a contract with S.D.S. They negotiated with my insurance company, which is Liberty Mutual and came to a price for the SDS was to perform. For roof work and interior that got damaged from water leaks. We handed over the first check to start the work, which if I knew then what I know now I would have never gave them the whole first check of $6 thousand dollars, but like I said before I thought I could trust a close dear friend, and knew this friend for over 5 years. WOW! wasI wrong. They shake your hand and says to me and my hubby see you in 2 weeks. Thats when all the problems started.

I called out of curiosity wondering when are they going to start cause it has been over 2 weeks and because it's been raining off and on the damages is getting worst. My answer from SDS was that they never told me or my husband 2 weeks and that we was on the 30something customer waiting list. I was shocked and confused wondering there is no way that the work is going to even get done this year if I'm the 30something customer. So I started to argue that no one told me or my husbandthatI was this 30something customer waiting list and that Jim Kennedy shook our hands about he would get started in 2weeks. Well, allI heard is that there must of been a Miscommunication in our part cause they would never give this information to us and that our insurance company can give SDS atleast 2 years to finish a roof job.I was pissed thinking there is no F way this is happening. ThenI contacted my so call friend and asked him whats going on? Well for some reason I was told by my close friend and his wife that I should have known what I was getting into when I signed the contract. I could Not believe my ears and how hurtful people can be. So I did not know what to do and I got very stressed out emotional.

So I heard thatI could put a complaint to The BBB site, so I emailed a complaint form to The BBBalittle before midSeptember. And to my surprise Jim Kennedy SDS called wondering why we made a complaint to BBB. I told him it is my rights to make a complaint. So he started the job by September 21,2010 and which Jim Kennedy goes on telling us we have no curtasy towards others and that we were self centered people Blah blah blah. So the Dumpster Box was put into my drive way and gave me and my family only about somewhat a foot to get out my home entry way and the shingles I have made my order ever since July was not honored. SDS Jim Kennedytold us that the order we made was never in and thatI had to go with a different brand, which later I found out that the name brand of shingle i got stuck with was the cheapest you can go. What A RipOff! ok so the work finally had gotten started. By the next day September 22,2010 Mr. Jim Kennedy Owner and co founder of SDS and his trusty side kick Mr. David Valerious The National Re-Adjuster. WOW sounds like a comic book doesn it. Just wait to you see their logo it really give you a kick of laughter, with this superman character with SDS on this super heros chest saving humanity roofs. What A Joke. Ok so on September 22,2010 these twogoes on telling me and my husband that there was somethings that our insurance was not going to cover for, we thought about it and SDS made an agreementprivate form, we looked it over and said ok. I myself had given a $6oo.oo dollar check toMr.Jim Kennedy as a deposit and only owed2151.00. My husband decided later on called our insurer told him what was going on and was told that they would pay the debt. So my insurer asked us to get J.Kennedy to call and comfirm this and we did. So I thought everything was said and done. By September 25,2010 the roof finally got done. Then for some reason is like everyone packed up and left and me stuck wondering; What about The Interior? So Jim Kennedy Mr. Super hero tells me and my husband that the drywallers was on their way. Which was a LIE! Then mr. JKennedy comes by my house with a drywaller needing to size the interior, again. By October I has another visit by jKennedy with another drywaller to size , again. What the hell is going on. So the check for what we owed for the private pay form finally came in and was very surprised because the check was way larger then what was asked. Hmm... So we called our insurer about it and he goes on telling us just pay what we owed. We was confused and asked what about the rest of the money, he goes on saying Keep It! We was not comfortable with that comment, not at all , andI told my husband just return the rest of the check back to the insurance company because it just didn't feel right.

By October 8,2010 my friend Robert and Jim Kennedy came by to pick up the money we owed. well for some reason Jim Kennedy wanted The Whole check our insurance company gave us. I gave him only what we owed and told Jim Kennedy that that what was told to us by our insurer. Jim started to yell and screamm that if we did not hand over the whole check that we was going against the contract. This arfguement lasted for like 2 hours. I could not believe this was happening to us. So i decided to call my insurer telling him my situation and he tells me go ahead give him another check for the rest which would be more than enough he asked for and said then could just start my interior. I was not happy at all, but we cut another check for the rest. Which came out to be alittle over $11.000 dollars.

Then the next dramma came into the picture. For some reason SDS Jim Kennedy started to say that we owed another 2grand for work done and that if we did not pay him this money the interior will not get done. We told him that theres no way of this new information and theres no agreement for work that does not exist. Well Jim says that we are going against the contract Again, and that we should be recieving a certified letter and that he is going to put a LIEN on my house. WOW! I'm just getting Coned here. Well I complainted again to The BBB that SDS Jim kennedy abandoned a job not finished. Abandoned the Dumster box on my property and that i am outraged about it all. The BBB did not help at all , they wanted to do a arbitration which i found out that once you arbitrate it you can't go to a Legal court system if incase nothing gets honored and stuck with the rest. I said No Way! I would put myself in that mess, so I declined the meeting. So now Jim Kennedy SDS Storm Damage Specialists Of America put me on a collection agency stating i owe him $600.00 dollars which he never finished the job in the first damn place and we have been harassed for months for money we don't owe.

Before 2011I ordered in my policy and in my surprise eyes my insurance covered for what they did not from the very beginning, which they told me and my husband that they did not cover for what was agreed upon from the very beginning. It's like we get coned by this SDS construction company and by our insurance company. Hows that for a twist. So we are in the year 2011 and thinking maybe we should get a lawer to deal with this matter. theres more to this story but it just feels like im writing a book.
