| Mr. Weber is designing websites proclaiming to provide Data Entry (Work at Home Positions). I submitted my resume and received a reply from him stating there was a processing fee of $29.95 for training materials and to submit payment by AlertPay and that I would receive a password for the training material within 24 hours. I complied by sending my fee through AlertPay on 8/3/11 and today is 8/8/11 and I have sent several messages to Mr. Weber and have not received a reply nor a password for training. I have copies of all of the communication that I had with him and also my confirmation from AlertPay for the $29.95. I recently went to his website, and the name has been changed from Advance Industries to Genesis Data Solutions and it has the same deceiving information. Please stop this guy! |

| So glad I read your blog before falling for this SCAM. Why do these people prey on desperate people who are just trying to find honest work to support ourselves and our famlies. Everybody who was scammed by them and who is looking for work needs to be weary. Continue posting to hopefully stop this company from stealing money that we the unemployed do not have! |

I was sent pretty much an identical email this morning 8/10/11 and posted it below. I hope that more people use this web site for reference because so many of us are out of work and desperate to find a legitimate way to make ends meet that we allow ourselves to take risks, even though we're skeptical, in hopes to be a better provider. I myself was immediately curious about this posting but found no info on the BBB website. So I am thankful for yours and those that inform. Heres the email that I received.
The Data Entry Specialist position that you inquired about requires that you have a reliable computer with constant Internet access and capabilities, a valid E-mail account, basic Internet knowledge, and minimal typing skills. You must also be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner. This includes having excellent grammar and spelling when communicating with clients via E-mail. In addition to the above requirements, you MUST be able to follow instructions closely and completely.
All contact is done via E-mail, so you will not be required to call anyone at anytime. This allows you to work whichever hours are most convenient for you (days, nights, or weekends). You will be processing applications, as well as filling out forms in specific company databases (this tends to be tedious at times, so please be sure that you have the patience to do so before proceeding). This is why you will need to have basic Internet knowledge, though the training provided will give you step-by-step instruction on how to perform each task properly. There are no "down-times" with this position, so you will have a constant flow of work to complete on a regular basis. THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME, so if that is what you are looking for, please do not pursue this opportunity.
You will be paid $20.00 for each application completed. The amount of money you make each week is entirely up to you, and how much time and effort you are willing to put forth with this position. The average person in this position makes $200-$400 each week. If you are accepted as a Data Entry Specialist, you are considered an Independent Contractor. This means that your taxes will not be taken out; therefore, you will not be provided with any tax forms. THIS IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. The training provided will go more in depth about what to do regarding your taxes.
You will receive your pay through Alertpay or by mail (it is your choice). When an application is completed, $20.00 will be credited to your Alertpay account, (which can be withdrawn into your bank account at your leisure) or mailed to you.
There is a one-time non-refundable fee for the training package. This also includes all processing fees and training costs. We offer training for the full length of your employment. This is a one-time fee, and there will be no other charges to you. However, the fee must be received before your login and password to retrieve the training materials will be sent.
We must accept this fee to cover training costs, processing fees, as well as to ensure that only serious applicants apply. This is a non-refundable fee, so be sure that you understand the position and its requirements before sending in your payment for the training. This fee will not be waived for anyone, and cannot be deducted from your first pay. This is simply because if you do not process any applications, you will not have a first pay.
Once your payment is received, your training materials will be sent to you via email within 24 hrs. You will need a word processing program (MS Word, Notepad, etc.) Once you have completed the training, you may begin working. Most applicants finish the training in 24 hrs or less. However, you can do this at your leisure. Keep in mind, the sooner you finish the training, the sooner you may begin working. | I also saw the genesisdatasolutions.net ad. I'm glad I googled it and found this! Also out of work and trying to find something to make ends meet. It's terrible to see that someone is taking advantage of people that are down and out. I'm glad I didn't become another victim. Hopefully something legitimate will be out there for me. If anyone knows of any TRUE jobs available in data entry, please post. |

I was just about to apply to this exact job listing. I found it thru a search with the Alabama Employment Office's website which included jobs listed thru other websites. I called their office to see if there had been any complaints and was warned not to ever apply if anyone was asking for money!! I googled Genesis Data Solutions and read your story. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Good Luck to everyone looking for work.

| Best Buy can thank this guy! Being a single mother and working full time as a receptionist, I could always use the extra money. When I saw this add and that it said Genesis Data Solutions Mankato MN (town I live in) I didn't think it would be a scam! I was very excited about it. I didn't have a computer or internet so I went to Best Buy and bought a computer and signed up for internet. I did this last night and come to find out today this guy is a scam! Glad he didn't get any of my money! Best Buy did! |

| Oh wow, I'm so glad I checked this ad out before paying the training fee. I received a response to my application today from David Rawlings. It's such a shame that people are trying to cheat individuals who are obviously needing to make money. | I just read all this and I"m so glad to didn't go through with this I emailed this David Rawlings and asking him where this company is base out of and I still haven't heard from him. Thanks for the information, I almost go fooled too. Really, these people need to get a life.. What goes around will come around. He will have what is coming to him. |
