Bought my horse from her 2 years ago. Had a pre-purchase on site, unfortunately the ground was very hard (Dec) and it was difficult to assess his gaits properly. With the horse being so young and have ridden him twice we felt he would be ok without xrays and or blood work. The horse was bought to be a family horse that we could trail and lesson on. The horse was here for 1 week and began to show signs of being spooky and jumpy. He was sweet with no bad ground manners, however he was not a happy horse. He was very jumpy for everyone who delt with him as we are very gentle, and respectful horse owners. My vet and farrier also noticed his uneasiness. Long story short, I had episode after episode of colic. I called Becky to see if she could provide me with any information to help me in the care of this horse ( 3 months into ownership of him), she reported not incidents. The horse was scoped and the horse had mod to severe ulcers. Horse was treated and I have had nothing but bad luck with this boy. We have had more colics and repeat treatments, coupled with lamness issues. Myself, trainer and vet feel this horse was medicated to reduce the signs of lameness, which probably contributed to his ulcer condition. This horse was 5 when I bought him and really has not been completely sound since our purchase. Unfortunately I was not able to do much with him upon purchasing him, due to the weather. So he pretty much sat for 3 months until the colics began and inbetween in trying to get him going we discovered all of his lamness issues. He has NEVER been sound!! I paid top dollar for this guy, his is sweet and I feel bad for him. I have to say that in visiting her place, all of the horses I looked at seemed unhappy and the one I test rode or watched her go on my trainer and I saw ? of lamness, should of been a big hint to walk away! This stable is now a different name Hidden Rock Farm and Becky Accord is now Becky Peckham. Horrible horse dealer and animal person!!!!
