Robert Half International No communication after making it through two interviews Irvine, California |
30th of May, 2011 by User342962 |
On April 29th, Karen Raisovich, one of the Recruiting Managers, emailed me a job description pertaining to a Help Desk position for a real estate company in Irvine, Sares-Regis and I emailed her a copy of my resume. On May 2nd, she pre-screened me over the phone and had me come in the same day for an interview with her. She said that I would interview with her, then interview with the client, and then interview with the team that I would be working with, if it got that far. Per the interview, she felt I was a qualified candidate for the position and on May 3rd, emailed me to set me up an interview with the hiring manager of the actual client, Leslie, on May 5th at 10:15. May I say first that Karen had a speech impediment and would have trouble getting out the rest of a word. Also, the email that was received from her scheduling me for interview with Leslie was very poorly and unprofessionally written, and a copy of it is attached. The email did not even state Leslie's name, and I only learned that I would be interviewing with Leslie upon actually showing up for the interview. When I arrived for the interview with Leslie, I was met by Terry Schulenburg, another Recruiting Manager, and Karen's partner. Terry said that Karen was out for the day. I interviewed with Leslie and then met with Terry to answer a few post interview questions. On May 3rd, Terry then called and told me that Leslie liked me and wanted me to meet the team and that it probably would be next week. I waited all the next week and heard nothing from anyone. I called and emailed Terry on May 16 and called again on 18th, and was told that Leslie had been sick all the previous week and that I should hear something soon. On May 19th, I called and emailed Terry again and was told that Leslie was catching up. I then called on May 23rd as well. I called on May 24th and was told that Karen and Terry were no longer with Robert Half and spoke with Kelly O'Connell, Market Manager. I feel that I was lied to and deceived by Robert Half. I'm not sure that the information that Terry gave me pertaining to Leslie being out of the office was even truthful as I would have heard something from Leslie by now. I was lined up after having two successful interviews and then all communication dropped off. Upon learning that Karen and Terry were no longer with the company and trying to find out who had picked up their accounts, I feel like I was brushed off and passed over with the promise of being found another position. If this is how the last position was treated, what confidence do I have of the next potential one being treated like this as well? I do not have much confidence in Robert Half's ability or competency and cannot seem to find any answers pertaining to this situation from anybody and that is the reason I am contacting you. I feel very unsettled and do not feel comfortable enough to let this rest.
