Rite Aid Eckard and Brooks Drug Unfair Practices to Employees Tappahannock, Virginia |
6th of Nov, 2011 by User190580 |
My personal horrible experience with Rite Aid. All during the year of 2010 I had to constantly beg for my paycheck by calling Corporate. They explained to me that due to the laziness of my "Store Manager" not finalizing my time, is why my paycheck was always short. So every Monday I would have to call the Corporate office and have them finalize my time, which to my surprise didn't always work either. I also didn't know it was my medical insurance review period, that was a little surprise they had planned for their employees in Jan. 2011. (Jan, 31 is the end of their Fiscal Year). So on Jan 26, 2011 I get a letter stating that since I hadn't maintained full-time hours each week, they were going to cancel my insurance on Jan. 31 2011. In a usual twist of fate, their Health and Wellness website was down from Jan. 26 to Jan 31, so I couldn't get online to let them know it was a mistake. I called and faxed the letter to the corporate office and they weren't able to fix this mistake either. They did call and say sorry but we did find to more days you haven't been paid for, so we finalized it. By the way I never received a paycheck for the money owed because it was time I worked in 2010 and we are now in 2011. So while I'm stressing on how I'm going to make my mortgage payment each month, the "lazy" store manager is on the clock with Rite Aid and shopping at Walmart or getting her hair done! Avoid this company like the plague! If you are looking for a great career with a fabulous company....they are so NOT it. This is just one example of the crap they did to me and countless other employees. So to all you nice people that shop there and wonder why the employees are rude and always seem to be in a bad mood....here's your answer....they work for a horrible company that treats them like crap. Sincerely, an ex-employee who currently works for a much better company :) |
