Resort Solution Trust Fraudulant Representation of Timeshare Sale Largo, Florida |
3rd of Jun, 2011 by User722269 |
It started with a phone call from a Resorts Solutions Trust representative Scott Scragg. He clearly stated that he had a buyer for my timeshare in Florida. He said it was a retired military couple from North Caroline, who had been staying in our resort facility and wanted to buy in. The couple had been approved for $28K and that if I thought that that was a fair price would I be willing to sell today. Since I had only paid 18K sure that was fair. (That's when I should had red flags going off.) He then proceded to explain the sale process. He stated that it could take up to 45 days for the paperwork and tile stuff to clear. That any maintenance fees I had paid would be returned and that the processing cost which would run $2400, would also be refunded. (Again, red flags should have gone off with the upfront fee.) He gave me the back ground of the company, its business license number. I was then transfered to there admin person who verified all the information in cluding the credit card the $2400 was to be charged to. After I hung up with them I decided to check them out on the internet. Man, had I been screwed. They have a D- rating with the Better Business folks in Florida, and there business license was nowhere to be found. I found other who and been ripped off by the same line. That all these companies want is you upfront money and then they disappear. I immediately called them back and and requested to cancel any contracts with them and ask for my money back. Scott became VERY high pressure. He said I can't trust what is put out on the internet. He also said my money was gone, there was no getting it back. I kep repeating I want my money back. The went on for about 5 minutes when Scott became foul mouth asking if I was a "F....ing idiot. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they started playing squeeling and squelching noises over their voices that they were getting a supervisor, I guess in an effort to get me to hang up. When I didn't theyhung up on me. I called the credit card company immediately in an effort to stop payment and file a dispute. They said it would take 3 to 4 days. I did have them cancel the card and stop any further use of it. That afternoon I did get a call back from Scott and he did say the money was going to be charged back to my card. % days later I see the original charge and the charge back were logged to my account. The credit card company said I was lucky. They'd a bet my money was gone. The old line is still true, "if it sounds too good too be true it probably is." But these guys were good. Watch out for them. |

I am so Happy with Resort Solution Scott Scragg sold my timeshare in a very professional way. Its funny to me that the above complaint rambles on about nothing except a grumpy person, they gave his money back if things didn't work out as they promised, what is there problem. Again, Trust is the right word for Resort Solution. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to unload there timeshare like many others we should have never bought in the first place. |

The comment from the Happy person stating that Resorts Solution Scott Scragg sold his timeshare is Scott Scragg or someone from that scam organization wrote it. I think Scott Scragg is going by the name of Shawn Kane now. I was contacted by Mr. Kane in October 2011, stating he had a buyer for our timeshare and that within 3-4 weeks we would have our money. We paid approximately $9, 000 for an EOY timeshare and he had buyers willing to pay $18, 575.00. After agreeing to sell, and letting them charge my credit card $1381.00 I found scam reports on the internet and called Mr. Kane back and told him we changed our minds and wanted out and the reason, he said the complaints were from past employees that had been fired and they were retaliating in this way. He PROMISED me that I would be thanking him in just a short time and that I needed to trust in him. We are Christian people and we wanted to trust him, but it has now been over 3 months and we have not heard from Mr. Shawn Kane, nor have we seen any money. We are ashamed to admit that we fell victims to this scam. DO NOT let this happen to you. We do not nor have we ever worked for this company, so if he or someone from this company tries to sell you on the idea that we are disgruntled past employees, it is just another lie. I would be so happy to have anyone who questions this to call upon us to give testimony that Resort Solution Trust is a FRAUD. And to you Mr. Kane, I wonder how you can sleep at night, I am sure your Mother and Father are not real proud of you now. Danette MCK from WI |

Since my last posting, I have talked with the representative Shawn Kane, from Resort Solution trust, he assures me he has never gone by any other name but the one he was born with, in other words, where I stated that maybe Scott Scraggs was going by the name of Shawn Kane now was just speculation on my part and was a falsehood. Also, after some heated words between us Mr. Kane did apologize for not contacting me when his buyer fell through, he also stated that he would continue to work on selling my timeshare and that he holds no animosity towards me for my last posting and wishes that I will give him a chance to prove that he is not a scam artist and that what he does and who he works for is not a scam. I am ashamed to admett it but I let it happen to me. RST called with a promise that my timeshare was sold for twice what I paid for it. Gave my credit card info and within three hours my money was gone! Called the credit card co. But was to late. I did sound the fraud alert. But I fear that my $1950.00 is gone. I am going to get the law involved. If nothing else I will do my part to shut them down! |

I have also been scammed by Resort Solutions Trust. I was contacted by a man named Bill Griffin. This man told me he was part of BlueGreen resorts, which is who I have my timeshare with.He also told me that he got my information from BlueGreen and that he knew I was trying to sell my timeshare. He said that he had a buyer right now that was ready to buy my timeshare and if I was interested this sale would be complete and I would have a check within 30 days . Yes, I have sucker written on my head. I fell for it. They sent me a contract which was a contract to advertise for the sale of my timeshare. Bill said that my fee that I was paying was for advertising and finding a buyer, which they have already done. That is why the contract really didn't seem out of place. SHAME on me. Lesson Learned. This all happened back in November and here we are in April. If the company calls you, PLEASE hang up and don't even think about it twice. My credit card company said they cant help me becasue I signed the contract. So please do not talk to these people. They were not rude or anything like that. Bill was actual very nice the whole time.I just called him and told him that I hoped he would some day get a better job and stop scamming people out of their hard earned money. |
