This Guy/company is known to rip people off, especially the elderly. If you feel you've been scammed or lied to you most likely are correct. Mike is the manager an has been warned by the AG to leave a reciept with the "three day cooling off period", the federal law that protects the consumer. If violated he could be guilty of a misdomeanor. Mike has been in trouble with the law for harassment recently and is on probation. In my opinion this guy is as rotten as they come and needs to be stopped. I purchased from an employee of Ranchers Pride on Monday March 10th. He agreed with a handshake to hold my checks until Wed Mar 19th. When I used my debit card today (March 14th) it was denied. After I got home I checked my bank account and found Zach had changed the dates on both checks and cashed them the next day. Now my house payment on Monday the 19th will bounce cancelling my mortgage.
I found Zach on Facebook and sent him a message 2 hours ago and he is not answering.
First thing Monday morning I will be at the Police Dept filling charges against him for changing the date and calling the AG in Iowa and telling them as well.
But really why would the bank accept my checks with the dates changed in the first place?
