Supposed Ran a Radio Ad When Told Not To. |
12th of Jan, 2014 by User77326 |
In June of 2013 - Radio Accounting Services contacted Balanced Expressions as a veteran owned business to do an American Red Cross Donation to help send blood overseas. We agreed to do a joint donation with Vet Connect a non-profit agency in Santa Rosa to do a radio ad spot. Our thought processes was to coincide our own blood drive van to work in our parking lot during one of our Vet Connect Days to help.
We never received a proof of the ad to approve as was promised nor did we receive the dates of when the radio ad would play during the week of July 4th as was promised. I even offered my e-mail address to get advanced copy & was told that it would only be mailed.
Additional phone calls to 'Michael the company representative for our area' were not answered even when voice mails were left.
After speaking with the Vet Connect Director on June 25th, we agreed that since we had not received any copies of the ad to approve nor any other information regarding this that we would not move forward with this project. On June 28th, 2013 a voice mail was left again because of no answer from Radio Accounting saying to cancel our spot - that there was no permission to run this ad as we as a veteran owned business and also a non-profit agency (Vet Connect) were not able to approve the ad.
Subsequently I have received numerous bills demanding payment...when I have called in to speak with supervisors and continued to follow through with this....I have been told that I would receive proof of the ad running. I have not to date received anything in print or calls back.
December 30, 2013 - I received a Collection and demand for payment for $350 from an Ira I. Silverstein 'Attorney At Law.'
Upon looking up information to contact this attorney as only the name of the attorney was used with the address and telephone number going to Radio Accounting Company...I only find a similar name with a different address going to a Chicago Senator.
A message was left January 2014 to the Station Manager with again no response back.
This is not right and we will continue to fight this and it also appears that other Veteran Businesses have run into the same situation.
Please be careful with this company and do not use their services.! |
