You have to register to get more information and to see what items they offer. Their home page does not answer all of the questions. As part of registering, I had to give my Visa info, figuring if I learn more and then decide if this was for me. After registering, I learned that they do not have pet items or pet food or anything I really need. They seem to only have electronics and those, I do not need, never need on a regular basis, and buy rarely. I exited the site without any bids or attempts at bidding. I had no interest after learning what I did. They had the gall to debit my bank account $60. When I found out, I immediately notified them, accusing them of a fraudulent transaction. They DID credit my bank account promptly. They said there was a "little blue box" at the top that said they would deduct some money. I never saw such a box and never authorized a deduction. They dealt with me honestly in crediting my account but their practice is unethical and fraudulent in my view. To force people into registering to learn more and find out what categories the auction items fall into, without having people agree to a bank deduction is criminal. It would probably take me years to make 100 bids anyway. Ridiculous amount of money they take on an initial basis. I would never agree to it and would never bid on anything 100 times and I only was looking for pet items. I have everything I need. I'm not young and looking to fill a house with a lifetime of gadgets. They also told me they would cancel my registration. Weeks later, I went into their website and I am not canceled, which concerns me because they still have a record of my Visa. I can't comment on their practice for those who do want to play their game and bid but BEWARE OF REGISTERING BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT JUST REGISTERING. You are unknowingly and unwittingly being scammed. I went back into their website and again weeks later, when I wrote this. There is no blue box! The only blue box is a huge on on the left with changing advertisement, unrelated to QuiBids. There is no box at all and NOTHING that says they will be taking your money upon registration. I read everything. There is a login and they encourage you to register so if you plan to play and see where it gets you, beware, registering means more than just registering to them. |
